Why would he kill his own grandson? Besides as far as I'm concern Henry is his ticket to getting Baelfire to come to Storybrooke with him. Why would he actually try to kill his ticket to getting his son back? I really hope he doesn't try to kill him, I love that kid. I know even if he tries Henry isn't going to die but still. How could anyone harm this adorable little boy?
No way. 1. He's got a soft spot for Henry. It was apparent even before the whole grandson thing came out because he didn't charge him for using magic. 2. Baelfire would NEVER forgive him if he did. 3. Regina/Emma/Snow/David would unite against him. 4. If Belle remembers, SHE would never forgive him. 5. There's Hook, but no Peter Pan. Could Henry be the Peter Pan we've all been waiting for?
A) It's his grandson
b) It's the only way to get Baelfire back to Storybrooke.
c) He seems to have a fondness for Henry and some kind of a connection with him.
If he wants to get bae back killing bae's son is not the way to do it not to mention regina, snow and charming would probably come after him if he even tried that
Well I just picked yes less than a minute ago. I say yes because of his facial expression at the end of the episode, the fact that only moments before Bae walked in he was ready to hurt Emma, he has a tendency to go for lack of a better word a bit crazy on people (beating Hook, turning people into bugs, breaking his own items in fits of rage etc.), and he has murdered in the past.
not a chance..I believe he'd chose death over killing his own grandson..and like the majority said if he wants to have any chance of forgiveness from Bae killing Henry would never get him that.
Yes. Why? Because he's Rumplestiltskin. He's not a good guy. And I think he knows what his "undoing" caused by Henry means(.... losing his power and not being a Dark One anymore). He's a magic and power addict (just like a drug addict).
I would like to see him let his magic go for his own sake because deep down he knows that if he doesn't give up his magic he will loose his son and Belle forever and he knows deep down that those two people are what makes his life happy. But at least now I don't believe he will give it up. Maybe I'm wrong and writers will surprise me. I hope I'm. Really.
The writers have been beating us over the head with Rumple sympathy all season. I'd like to say it's because they're going to do a huge 180 with his character, but I just... don't have that kinda faith in the writers.
His original plan was to kill the boy who would be his undoing.
But now knowing it is his own grandson, you can see in the look on his face at the end of the episode that he doesn't want to go through with his original plan. He doesn't want to kill Henry.

This!
I do think he might die trying to save Henry or so :( which would fulfill the prophecy
