I couldn't imagine having to take away the life of another, but I also couldn't imagine losing my only child. All they had to do was keep from having a second child and nothing would happen. However, I do see Milah's side because Rumple made a HUGE decision about their future without talking about it with her. A decision like this is not one you can make on your own, it does affect her too. However, how could she ask him to take away the life of someone, especially if he got caught he'd be defenseless because he's crippled, but it saved the life of her son. I see both sides and don't think either are completely right or wrong. However, that doesn't excuse Milah to having an affair with some pirate, running away with him, making her husband think she's dead, and leaving her only child behind to never return and have think she was dead.

I can understand why Rumple did it. He didn't want to be a cold blooded murderer.

LowriLorenza89 picked Milah:
It was really crap of him to make a decision which would affect her so severely without consulting her or even apparently thinking that she could have a different opinion. He should have offered to sacrifice himself before sacrificing a theoretical child.

The last time I watched, I also found myself wondering what he'd have done if Milah had actually been pregnant at the time. I wondered why she was suddenly considering the idea of another child after approximately 10 years without thinking of it, and then suddenly thought "what if she has already gotten pregnant by accident?". My head-canon since is that she actually was pregnant and his deal forced her to drink the infertility potion/get an abortion because she thought that losing her child would be better than selling him/her.
