minervadawn picked Ruth:
18. Henry Sr
19. Rumple
20. Edwin
21. Maurice
22. Anita
23. Lady Tremaine
24. Cora
25. Milah
24. Alphonse
25. Martin & Myrna (Jiminy's Parents)
26. King George
27. Pan/ Malcolm
28. The Sultan

Even though I voted for Ruth I'm glad Henry is out. He never once lifted a finger to protect Regina from Cora. Those that stand by and let abuse happen are almost as bad as the abusers IMO.

There's an article on Henry Sr that you should REALLY read. I'll try and find it, it was on tumblr.

Ruth because I won't ever forget that she sold one of her children, although she was a great mother to Charming.

Evilregal14 picked Snow:
I understand that she sold her child, but she DIED for her other son...I seem to think people are forgetting about that. That's what makes a selfless and kind mother. David and Snow gave up their child to "give her, her best chance" < even though, a murderer could've picked her up and killed her. That's why I think Snow is a terrible mother.

^Yeah, that's why I said she was a great mother to Charming. It's just that in my opinion she was a horrible mother to her other child so overall I don't think she's good.
I think David and Snow did the right parenting move there (lol we really don't agree on parents haha) and I think it was the only thing they could do. They didn't know what the curse would do, except "take them to somewhere horrible" and "take away there happiness" so they knew Emma would be unhappy even if she was able to stay with them. And also, if they hadn't done that the whole kingdom would have suffered forever. I think it would have been selfish for them to just decide to keep Emma, even if they probably would live a horrible life. They would have been risking it both ways. Oh, and a question: do you think David is a bad parent too then?:)

Horrible? Ruth wasn't horrible to him, she gave him up. So she didn't have a chance to be horrible or nice. She would've gave him away when he was first born. Maybe she just wasn't ready at the time.
Yeah, I do think David is bad too since he basically did the same as Snow. And with sending Emma through the wardrobe they're basically putting everyone else's happiness before Emma's. Anything or anyone could've been on the other side and like I said possibly kill her. Like Emma said even though they were cursed they would've been together: "which curse is worse" and I so agree with that.

matchesrulezu picked Geppeto:
Geppeto because he blackmailed the Blue Fairy into letting his son go through the portal instead of someone that should have gone through, like Snow or Charming. Which meant the Blue Fairy was forced to lie to Snow and Charming, causing them more grief than necessary.

Why'd he do it in the first place? Because he was afraid of Regina's curse. He was afraid of the unknown. So what'd he do? Send his child into the unknown.

He put the responsibilities of an adult on the shoulders of his child. And because of this, he abandoned Emma a short time after causing her to grow up alone and unguided. The whole town was almost screwed over because of Geppeto's moment of selfishness. Sure, August interfered later on to steer her back onto the right path, but look at how much heartache doing that caused.

Emma's life would have been better if Geppeto had been honest so Snow or Charming could go through the portal with her, faced the unknown with his child, had faith that Snow or Charming (whoever went with her) would raise her to be the savior that would break the curse and reunite him with his son.

^ His actions hurt the Charmings, made Emma's life miserable and endangered everyone in the kingdom but none of that has anything to do with his parenting. The only thing that matters is that he did what was best for Pinocchio. He saved his son regardless of the effect it had on everyone else.

matchesrulezu picked Geppeto:
How was it best for Pinocchio to put the responsibility of an adult on the shoulders of a child? To not only send him through the portal to the unknown, but to say "Hey, you have to take care of this baby even though you're still just a baby yourself, really"?

I'm not saying Geppeto was a horrible parent, he's not, but it was this action that causes me to choose him out of the choices available.

You picked Ruth, but really, she did the same thing. Ruth was a woman living in poverty with a starving family and twin sons. Rumple comes along and says that he wants to take one of her sons to the barren king and queen to become their prince. Yes, she gave up one of her sons to the OUaT equivalent of the devil. And yes, she did regret it for the rest of her life. But she knew where the child was going. He was going to a husband and wife that couldn't have children of their own, but not just any husband and wife, the king and queen. She knew her son would become a prince and live a very good life. She didn't sell her son into slavery. She was paid to give up one of her sons, but her son went on to become a prince and she was in turn, able to feed and take care of her remaining son.

So really, she didn't just do what was best for one of her children, she did what was best for both of them. Her whole family. If she hadn't, both of them could have very well starved to death or died from malnutrition because she was starving and unable to provide the nutrition they needed.

She wasn't a horrible parent and she made a mistake that she regretted for the rest of her life, but she was doing what was best for her children.

I just think Geppeto's choice was worse than Ruth's. At least Ruth knew where her son was going.

Agree with what you said about Ruth! She didn't know how horrible King George was, and she was doing what she thought was best. Also, I picked Snow for similar reasons you stated for picking Geppetto. ^

I'm not trying to start an argument with you, by the way, Minervadawn. I realize now that my post might come across a little hostile/intense, but I don't mean it that way. x3

@Evilregal14 - Yeah, I can see the similarities. They sent their child, alone, into the unknown. When Snow went into labor, they had plenty of time to get her into the tree. The tree was in Emma's room, which would have been relatively close to Snow and Charming's room. Just minutes away. And she still would have been in labor for a while longer once she did cross over, probably. Granted, I wouldn't want to be a woman going into labor in the middle of a strange land, but it would be better than sending my daughter there alone.

Question: Snow never got any time to heal from giving birth, so when Regina cast the curse, was Snow's body still healing? I'm guessing the curse didn't actually fast-forward time.. So she cast the curse and then they woke up in a new land with their fake memories, but that shouldn't have change anything physically.. Like the fact that Snow, really, just gave birth probably not even 30 minutes before the curse was cast.

I was just wondering because that would be weird. haha. MM would have been like "UGH, why do I feel like I've just given birth?!"

Your comment didn't come across as hostile at all. i was just trying to point out that the effect their actions have on anyone other the children doesn't really matter as far as this poll goes. If they did there is no way Gina would still be here. I see your point with Ruth which is why I didn't pick her until all the truly bad parents were gone.
