Rubbing his hands together, Liam shifted nervously in his seat. The boys sat in silence. “Maybe I should go up to her?” Liam suggested, earning a nod of approval off the boys. He bit his lip and stood up, glancing at each of the boys before jogging upstairs. Knocking lightly on the door, it swung open, creaking slightly. Surprised that it was actually unlocked, he stepped inside to see that the room was vacant. “Carter?” he whispered, but he received no response.

He ran back downstairs and entered the sitting room. “Guys, she’s not here.” He told them. Shrugging, the boys looked at each other. “Maybe she’s just nipped out for a bit.” Louis suggested, but Liam wasn’t convinced. “Liam, the girl is 16, not 6, আপনি need to give her some space.” Zayn spoke. “Fine. I’m just going out for a while.” Liam muttered. “God Liam don’t tell me you’re going out to look for her.” Louis rolled his eyes. “Of course I’m not আপনি idiot.” Liam grumbled, grabbing his hoodie and stomping out the door.

He glided along the footpath, shoving his hands in his pockets. He pulled out his phone and dialled Carter’s number, sighing when it went to her voicemail.

‘Carter, it’s Liam. Just please let me know where আপনি are.’

He put his phone back in his pocket and continued his aimless journey. Staring at the floor, his thoughts wandered around his head. His body collided with someone else’s and pages went flying everywhere. “Shit, I’m so sorry. I wasn’t looking where I was going.” Liam shook his head, bending down and picking up some of the pages. “That’s okay. I was kind of in my own little world anyways.” The stranger laughed, gathering the last couple of pages.

Liam looked up at the stranger and saw a beautiful girl smiling back at him. She had big curly hair with deep brown eyes, along with glowing tanned skin and a gorgeous smile. “I’m Liam.” He grinned, putting out his hand for her to shake, which she did. “Danielle.” She spoke. “So Danielle, what’s with all of these pages?” he chuckled. “It’s just college work, nothing extraordinary.” Danielle replied. “How about I buy আপনি a coffee to apologize properly?” Liam winked. “I’d like that.” She nodded. Liam took her hand and led her into the nearest café.

“So, Liam. Tell me আরো about yourself.” Danielle placed a hand under her chin as she gazed up at Liam. “Well, I’m 18, I go to college and I live with my 3 best mates and little sister.” Liam told her. “Your sister lives with four boys?! Oh god প্রণয় her!” Danielle gasped. “Nah, she’s practically a boy herself, not exactly the ‘girly’ type.” Liam chuckled. “Ah I see. And what about your parents?” Danielle quizzed. “They… um… passed away 4 years ago.” Liam cleared his throat. “Oh god, I’m so sorry.” Danielle whispered.

“No it’s okay. Carter’s taken it a bit harder than me though. Her life hasn’t been exactly easy since then.” Liam sighed. “What do আপনি mean?” Danielle asked. Liam suddenly felt able to tell Danielle anything, to confide in her.

“Well, when our mum and dad died, we were originally supposed to go and live with our aunt in London, but she didn’t want to tear us away from our lives here, so we were allowed stay in Homes Chapel, under the watchful eye of my mate Harry’s mum. Harry was Carter’s best friend, at least that’s what I thought. I recently found out he had been bullying her for the past couple of years. I had no idea beforehand and even left Carter with Harry for a couple of weeks.

When I came back, Carter had been in an accident and was diagnosed with depression and amnesia. Harry and her were now a couple, and I was honestly happy because he has made her so much better, she always smiled when he was around. But when I found out about what he did, I did what I thought was right and stopped him from seeing Carter. That night, me and Carter had a row and now she won’t speak to me. She had a check-up today for her depression, and I found out her depression and multiplied and she’s developed anorexia.” Liam finished, putting his head down.

Danielle put her hand on Liam’s and gazed up at him. “What do আপনি think caused the depression to multiply?” Danielle ব্যক্ত softly. “I’m not completely sure, but the nurse says that the best thing to do is get back in contact with Harry.” He told her. “Then why don’t you?” Danielle quizzed, furrowing her eyebrows. Liam swallowed and took a deep breath. “Harry’s in hospital. He was stabbed last night.” He explained.

Danielle bit her lip as a short silence followed. “I’m sorry, I really shouldn’t have told আপনি this.” Liam shook his head, getting up off his seat. Danielle took his arm and pulled him back down. “Don’t be sorry. I want to help you. Where’s Carter now?” she questioned. “She’s not answering her phone.” he mused. “Let’s go find her then.” Danielle smiled, taking Liam’s hand and leading him outside.

Fluttering her eyes open, Carter glanced at her surroundings. Beside her she saw Harry sound asleep. She must have dozed off. Smiling, she hoped out of the hospital বিছানা and stood up, wandering out of the room. Shrugging away her thoughts, Carter glided down the corridor and got a cup of চা for Harry. Afterwards, she returned to the room.

Harry opened his eyes to see that Carter was no longer beside him. He shot up at the sound of a knock on the door. When he saw that it was Carter, a huge grin spread on his lips. “How are আপনি feeling?” she asked quietly. “I’m fine thanks.” He croaked. “That’s good. I brought আপনি some tea.” She smiled, handing him the cup. “Thanks babe.” He coughed. “No problem.” She beamed, placing herself on the আসন beside the hospital bed.

“Taking a large sip of his tea, Harry set the cup down on the bedside table. He’s your big brother.” Harry chimed. “If he really cared he’d let me be with you.” Carter muttered. “He only wants what’s best for you.” Harry sighed. “But you’re the best thing for me! Why can’t he just see that?” A tear formed in Carter’s eye.

Harry pulled her towards him and she sobbed into his chest. “Maybe he’s right Carter. Maybe you’d be better off without me…” Harry mused. Carter pulled away from him and frowned. “Harry, you’re the only reason I’m still alive. If it weren’t for you, I would’ve killed myself a long time ago. You’re the reason I smile, the reason that I have one ounce of happiness in my life. Now look me in the eye and tell me I’d be better off without you.” Carter stated. Harry opened his mouth to speak, but found no words to say and soon shut it.

“You had your check-up today, didn’t you? How did it go?” Harry queried. “Good, the nurse just asked me a couple of প্রশ্ন and took a few tests. I think she told Liam the results. They’re probably fine. I haven’t been down that much lately and I-” Carter paused as Harry gazed down at her wrists. He took one of them in his hand before looking up at her.

“You promised me you’d stop Carter.”

“Just let Liam know you’re okay at least, yeah?” Harry pleaded. Carter nodded and hopped off the bed. Taking out her phone, she tapped a quick message and sent it to Liam. She sniffed and took a deep breath, putting her hands on her hips. “You should get some rest Harry.” She told him. “Only if আপনি stay with me.” Harry stated, jutting out his bottom lip and gazing at the fragile girl before him. She half glanced at him before turning away. She couldn’t help but smile a little.

“There it is!” Harry beamed. “What?” Carter looked around the room, searching for what Harry was on about. “There’s that beautiful smile on my even আরো beautiful girlfriend.” He tittered. Carter scrunched up her nose as her cheeks flushed bright pink. “Yes! আপনি scrunched up your nose again! আপনি only do that when you’re happy!” Harry cheered. “It must be when I’m with আপনি then.” Carter responded, winking at her curly haired boyfriend.

“So, are আপনি coming in, অথবা what? My lips feel dry and unloved, and I need a lickle চুম্বন to make me better.” Harry pouted. Carter giggled and climbed into the বিছানা beside him, attaching her lips to his. Her hands trailed along his abdomen while he wrapped his arms securely around her waist.

Meanwhile, the boys were watching wrestling at home. Niall was strangely uncomfortable, but Zayn and Louis chose to ignore it. Liam had been gone all দিন so the boys predicted that he had gone out in খুঁজুন for Carter. They hadn’t heard from either of them, but they hoped that they had made-up because the tension in the house was getting a bit much.

“She’s just a friend Lou. We kind of bumped into each other earlier.” Liam stated, clearly embarrassed. “Get in there Liam!” Zayn winked. “Dude! It’s not like that! She was helping me find Carter.” Liam explained. “Have আপনি heard from her at all?” Louis questioned. “She texted me telling me she was fine but that’s it.” Liam said. “Do আপনি guys have any idea where she could be?” Danielle chipped in. Zayn and Louis shook their heads. “I-I-I-I think I may have an idea of her where-a-bouts.” Niall chimed. “What do আপনি mean Niall?” Liam quizzed.

“Well, I forgot my phone to ring the ambulance, so I used Harry’s. And I may অথবা may not have read the text Carter sent him… she still loves him guys.”

“So? How does that tell us anything?” Zayn questioned, earning a slap off Louis. “She’s at the hospital Zayn!” Danielle spoke. “Well what are we waiting for then?” Liam ব্যক্ত as he sprinted out the door, the others following in tow.

Entering the hospital, Liam, Danielle, Niall, Zayn and Louis all ran up to the front desk. “Where’s… erm… Harry Styles?” Zayn asked. “Room 117.” The receptionist smiled. “Thanks.” Louis beamed as the boys and Danielle sprinted down the hall. As they came to room 117, the five of them peered in the window. There they saw Carter asleep in Harry’s arms while he played with her hair and kissed her forehead. “Aw!” the boys chorused, as Liam shot them a glare. “I’ll go in. Wait here.” Liam spoke before opening the door. Zayn grabbed his arm and pulled him back. “Do the right thing Liam.” He whispered.

Entering the room, Liam took a deep breath. Harry’s eyes shot up in Liam’s direction. “L-Liam! W-What are yo doing here?!” he exclaimed. Liam didn’t reply, he just edged closer to Harry’s bed. “L-Liam… if you’re going to hurt me… please just take Carter out of the room first… I don’t want her getting hurt!” Harry begged, gazing at Liam with pleading eyes. “Since when do আপনি care about Carter getting hurt?” Liam spat. Harry looked down at the floor. “Look Harry, I’m not here to hurt you. I just wanna talk.” Liam sighed, taking a আসন পরবর্তি to Harry’s bed.

She cried herself to sleep most nights because of you!” Liam roared.

“I know that now. I honestly didn’t know how much it was affecting her.” Harry said. “It doesn’t matter! আপনি still abused her for আরো than two years with absolutely no regard for how much আপনি were actually hurting her!” Liam shouted. “I know. Trust me Liam; I never intentionally wanted to hurt her.” Harry chimed. “Then why did you?” Liam asked. “I don’t know. I brought her to the field one দিন to talk, but she started screaming at me. Before I knew it, Carter was on the floor and I was standing over her with my fist clenched.” Harry mused, a tear flowing down his cheek.

Liam put his head in his hands before turning his gaze to Carter. “She really loves আপনি Harry.” Liam sighed. “And I প্রণয় her too. She means the world to me.” Harry told him. “You and me both Harry.” Liam half-smiled. “How did her check-up go?” Harry quizzed. “Things have gotten even worse Harry. She’s developed anorexia and her depression has multiplied. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong.” Liam put his head in his hands and let a few tears fall from his eyes.

“Liam, you’re doing nothing wrong. If it weren’t for আপনি Carter wouldn’t be here.” Harry reassured him. Liam just shook his head. “Did the nurse say what was the cause of her anorexia?” Harry quizzed. Liam looked up at him. “You.” He said. “Harry’s eyes widened. “Me?! Liam, I swear, I stopping hurting her a long time ago!” he exclaimed. “I know, she’s been missing আপনি so much that it’s drove her to cut and stop eating.” Liam responded. Harry gazed down at the broken girl in his arms, as did Liam.

“That’s why I’ve decided, that the best thing for Carter at the moment is you. She needs আপনি Harry.”

“What are আপনি saying? Does this mean I’m able to see her again?” Harry’s eyes began to light up. Liam nodded, a smile spreading on his face. “Oh my god! Thanks so much Liam!” Harry beamed. “I’m warning আপনি Styles, if আপনি hurt her again I promise আপনি that I will murder you.” Liam’s face turned serious for a moment. “I won’t hurt her, I promise.” Harry grinned.

“Carter, wake up.” Harry whispered. Carter opened her eyes and gazed up at Harry. “How are আপনি feeling babe?” she asked, stretching her arms out. “A lot better.” Harry had a massive cheesy grin plastered on his face. “What are আপনি so happy about?” Carter questioned, Narrowing her eyes at Harry. “Oh nothing.” Harry smirked.

Just then the nurse strolled in. “Ms. Payne, I’m going to have to ask আপনি to wait outside for a moment. We just need to monitor Harry’s improvement.” She told her. “Okay.” Carter smiled, স্নেহ চুম্বন Harry’s lips before leaving the room.

She sat down on the chair in the waiting room, pulling out her phone and staring blankly at the screen. She felt someone’s presence beside her and looked around to see Liam sitting beside her. He smiled warmly at her, but she turned away from him.

“Please Carter; this has gone on long enough. Can’t we just talk?” Liam pleaded. Carter bit her lip in hesitance before turning to Liam. “Okay.” She nodded. “Look, I’m so sorry. What I ব্যক্ত to আপনি was completely out of order and I regret every word of it. I didn’t mean those things I said, I promise.” Liam said. “Then why did আপনি say them?” Carter croaked. “Because I’m an idiot… I guess I was just angry, not at you, at Harry.” Liam sighed. “Please forgive me Carter, আপনি mean the world to me.” Liam begged, tears filling his eyes. A huge grin spread on Liam’s dace as he pulled Carter into his embrace, engulfing her into a tight hug. They pulled away and Carter glanced through the window of Harry’s room, seeing that the nurses had left.

“I guess আপনি should return to your patient now.” Liam nudged Carter lightly, nodding his head in Harry’s direction. “Wait, so you’re not taking me home?” Carter questioned. “You’re getting old now, and I can’t stop আপনি from seeing your boyfriend.” Liam winked. Carter’s jaw dropped. “You mean, I can see Harry again?!” her eyes began to light up. “Of course, but only if আপনি promise to tell me if he ever hurts আপনি again.” Liam narrowed his eyes at his sister. “I promise. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” she beamed, hugging Liam and giving him a চুম্বন before leaping off the আসন and running into Harry.

She ran into his arms and delicately kissed his lips. “I take it you’ve heard the good news then.” Harry chuckled. “I’m so happy Harry. I can’t believe we’ve gotten our happy ending!” she grinned. “I know, we’ve finally got it!” Harry laughed, wrapping his arms around Carter’s waist.

There was a knock on the door and both of them piped up to see Liam standing in the doorway. “We’re just leaving now. আপনি coming Carter?” he quizzed. “Nah, I’ll be প্রথমপাতা later.” She replied. “Alright, just come out for a second. There’s someone I want আপনি to meet.” He told her. She stepped outside the room and saw a very pretty girl indeed stood before her. “Carter, this is Danielle. She helped me out a lot today.” Liam explained, gratefully smiling at Danielle. “LIAM!” Niall roared, so Liam left.

“Hi Danielle! I can already tell দ্বারা the smirk on Liam’s face that he fancies you…” Carter giggled. “Well, I fancy him too…” Danielle blushed, earning a laugh off Carter. “You’re a very ব্রেভ girl Carter… If I had gone though half of the things আপনি have I don’t think I’d be here today…” she spoke. “I guess I’ve got loads of people to support me, so I’m lucky in a way.” Carter shrugged.

“DANIELLE! HURRY UP অথবা IMMA HIT আপনি WITH A CARROT!” Louis yelled.

“I’d go if I were you, Carrots are surprisingly very sore to get hit with… Trust me, I know from experience.” Carter chuckled. “I best be going then. Here’s my number if আপনি ever need a girl to talk to babe. It must be quite annoying to be surrounded দ্বারা boys 24/7! Call me anytime.” Danielle smiled. “I will, thank আপনি so much.” Carter beamed, giving Danielle a quick hug before she left.

“I think আপনি should go প্রথমপাতা babe, Liam’s gonna be worried.” Harry whispered. “No, I’ll just tell him I’m staying here.” She said. “Carter, আপনি won’t get any proper sleep, and you’ll be bored when the doctors are with me.” Harry reasoned. “I’m not leaving until I know for sure that you’re okay.” Carter stated texting Liam. A grin spread on Harry’s face as she climbed back into bed. “I’m so glad Liam gave me another chance. I’ve missed being with আপনি so much.” Harry chimed, স্নেহ চুম্বন Carter’s forehead. “I’ve miss আপনি too Harry.” She smiled.

“Carter, I promise আপনি that I will never hurt আপনি again, okay?”

Looking up at Harry, Carter bit her lip and nodded. Pressing his lips against hers, he smiled through the kiss, knowing that the one thing that made him happy in life had come back again, and he wasn’t planning on letting go anytime soon.

Maybe Harry and Carter were right… Maybe they were finally getting their happy ending.
