The fashions of Justin Bieber and the One Direction boys have evolved since the pop icons first started making music. Take a trip down memory lane.
Early days: In 2008, Bieber was a big fan of scarves and hoodies, and who can forget that trademark shaggy hair?
2009: The Biebz still practically looks like a baby. (He\'ll return to his love of hats five years later, with a twist.)
The early days: In 2012, 1D rocked coordinating outfits that were thoroughly high-school.
Their 2012 formalwear looks were pure prom.
Growing pains: Bieber\'s 2010 fashions were heavy on the one color, head-to-toe looks we know him for today, minus the edge.
In 2012, he was still performing in hoodies — except now, with crazy sneakers and MJ gloves.
And by 2012, he was starting to experiment more with the fashions that made him an infamous target. Leather tank top/scarf combos, anyone?

By 2013, Bieber was tattooed, wore sunglasses everywhere and really, really liked posing with prayer hands.
Growing pains: by 2012, 1D had started to add a little sophistication to their red/blue/white/black color-coordinated wardrobes.
By 2013, the color largely disappeared from their outfits — replaced by much cooler looks.
2013 also saw the guys upping their faux-formalwear game. Bye bye, suspenders.

..Bieber started showing up in more sophisticated fashions than his gold chain-heavy red carpet outfits.
His 2015 is marked by single-color outfits, often in red.
And who can forget his new now-infamous hair, which went from platinum blonde to this swoop at the 2015 VMAs.

And with Zayn\'s departure, we\'re seeing each member of 1D flex their own distinct look.
Though the guys still know how to pull off a coordinated look with grace.
