no it was so random, either Karen or Peyton someone she had history with. Deb and Brooke barely even knew each other. The only reason they chose her is is had a gun.

I agree i wanted her to tell Peyton Brooke and deb barely talk.

I think it was good that she went to Deb for assistance because they weren't that many Deb/Brooke scenes and they didn't have any relationship throughout the past seasons.I love them acting together even though I would have liked it better if it was Peyton(BREYTONFAN) but the thing is that what is important is that Brooke got through all that tragedy and is better now and it was nice seeing Deb scenes for a change(even though I do love the MAIN 5 and Skills and Jamie scenes!

i mean i guess it's good that she confided in someone and she did have a specific reason for choosing deb...but i think she should have told someone, though i would probably have picked haley instead of peyton but either way....or even if she didn't tell them outright she definitely didn't need to lie to them when they asked

hmmn...i'm not so into either answer. im glad she told deb just because im glad she was able to talk about it with someone and get comfort from someone- but the fact that it was deb- ehhh? i dunno.
but i don't think she "should" have told one of her friends....because there's no one way of healing or dealing with something traumatic like that- theres no "should have" when youre dealing with tragedy. and i think many, if not most, people decide not to talk about things like that cause its just too painful- especially with the people they love the most. so i dont think brooke SHOULD have told one of her friends. i just like breyton and baley scenes better than brooke and deb scenes so i guess simply because its tv i wish she went to them....

The only thing I can say
is there was no back story. I had a hard time thinking Deb could be sympathetic to Brooke because they never had scenes, or built a relationship.

It was like they plopped to two least used characters of the week together for an emotion scene, that lacked the back story for emotion.

Breyton would have blown it out of the water because Peyton and Brooke have such an emotion past.

Deb and Brooke having nothing in the past to work from.

I would've liked to see her tell Peyton or at least Haley first.... Calling deb was so random, and I think she would have gotten through it a lot easier if her friends actually knew what was going on.

I'm happy that she confided in someone but it was so random, they hadn't had any scenes since I can remember! Same goes for Brathan, I'm not into them but I don't hate them, it's just I find it so unbelievable that Nathan is there at Brooke's doorsteps, there was no build up that's why it came off as random, there's no story to back it up.

One more reason why the show is going downhill for me.
