This pisses me off, they couldnt take 10min out of the show for nathan/lucas to say goodbye for breyton to say goodbye for everyone to say goodbye, like seriously hoow annoying, its like the friendships werent important or someshit :/

okay and i would have at least liked a brucas goodbye lol like seriously if brucas got endgame and left the show i would have liked a goodbye to happen between leyton, because there friendship does exist, its just so stupid thats all.

TBH I don't really care about Leyton, and I don't really care about this show anymore. They seem to give us what we do NOT like and no matter how many times we point them out, it wouldn't make a difference. I'm just thankful for the s1-3 we had.

Definitely, the way Leyton left! It wasn't right, they just left and they are never coming back, he should have at least given a good reason! And not even a decent goodbye! WTF?

Yeah there's a big difference between naley leaving and leyton leaving... naley are coming back. Unlike leyton, they're not leaving tree hill, never to be seen again. leytons disappearance was when mark put the icing on the cake for me, and reassured me that the writing has officially gotten just lazy. It's not only the fact that leyton left without saying goodbye, but also the fact that we not ONCE got any kind of remote explination about where they went, or why they went there.

I understand that the show may not have known for sure during the filming of the finale whether or not Chad and hilarie would be returning, so that would make it kind of difficult to write in a formal goodbye. but what about after they DID know, and were writing the season 7 premiere? No explination at all? Just a damn basketball and a card telling Jamie that "they miss him"? Really?

and I don't say all of this just because I'm an annoyed LP fan, who is just whining because my favorite couple left. I would be annoyed even if it were a couple like Brucas (who i can't stand) that randomly picked up and left without any explination. Just pure laziness on the writers' parts. Huge holes in the storylines like this just proves how much the quality, and effort in writing really has gone downhill. We never would have seen anything like this in the older seasons. Sure there may have been a few minor inconsistencies in the high school seasons, but something as big as 2 of the main characters vanishing into thin air? we never would have seen anything like that. SO MUCH more thought and effort used to be put into this show back then. Can't say the same though for these newer seasons. Just my opinion...

You know Mon what really annoys me with LP leaving? It's not the fact that they left without saying goodbye, who in TH says goodbye anyway, but the fact that they're.. gone. Actually I don't care for Chad leaving, he's such a douche but they had to sacrifice Peyton/Hil just so LP can have their happy ending. That's two main characters GONE. And with the way things are going for Brooke, it's safe to say that Brooke needs Peyton. But where is she? Off. Somewhere. Somewhere without a phone or internet, or even a mailman. I think OTH handled losing them so poorly. At least in The OC, there was certainty that Marissa was dead and she's not coming back. Whereas with OTH, they just left it for your imagination and I know some fans are still hoping for them to make a guest appearance.

Sometimes I wish they just killed Lucas off, you know, Brooke suddenly realized that Lucas is worth the fight, BP ended up fighting each other. Brooke with a gun while Peyton with a bat and a phone. She dials 911. Then Peyton had her ~moment of clarity~ that it has been Brooke all along. Brooke says "Oh" but after some more convincing, Brooke realizes Peyton is the one. They kiss and make up, then they both decided to go after Lucas. Lucas, the ass that he is, runs outside the house with Psycho Derek (or nanny or Nikki, whichever you prefer) waiting for him. (we're interactive here, insert your thoughts about Lucas and the psycho) BP lived happily ever after.

I was very upset because all of those wonderful friendships didn't even have a proper goodbye. Laley and Breyton who have been friends for ages....where were their scenes?
What about the Scott brothers??? Didn't the show start out being about 2 brothers and how their lives intertwined in this town called "Tree Hill"?
Where was a scene with the current scott family(Nathan,Haley,Jamie,Lucas,Peyton,Saw­yer­)..­..A­ll we got was all of them standing in the hospital room with no dialogue.....
VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! I didn't even realize until now that Naley didn't say bye to Brooke....but it doesn't really surprise me...after all the writers didn't give goodbye scenes when two out of the main 5 character were leaving and never coming back on screen AND off....so Naley leaving to pursue their dreams without saying goodbye to one of their best friends isn't shocking...it's just sad!

There was no Laley goodbye....no Breyton goodbye....no Lathan!!!...No Brucas or Neyton THOUGH
OTH has hardly gave either Brucas or Neyton any screentime together this season.
At least Brucas had 2 scenes together how much did Neyton have?...NONE...and I am a fan of Brucas's friendship(but not as a couple) and I wish they could have gave them and the others a proper goodbye...because Leyton leaving like that without saying goodbye to their loved one was a big slap to fans of a lot of different fanbases!!!

There are a few things that can happen that can make not annoyed anymore and well....if

1.Leyton comes back and explains why they left and decide to go live where they were living but this time say their leaving permanently and BEFORE they leave they say GOODBYE...(but oh wait....it's been MONTHS since they've been gone)(TH time)

2.OTH has shot the goodbye scenes much earlier just in case and they are going to slowly throughout the season(or at least half of it since that's all we have left) like Brooke,Nathan and Haley think about and what do you know...a FLASHBACK...showing the ACTUAL goodbye

BUT something tells me neither of those options are gonna happen....so what can you do?...forgetting history..don't know why...?

Yeah what was up with that? They just hopped in there wagon and drove merrily away. Where did they go? Off a cliff? It was weird because they never packed anything with them...they just vanished. Oh Em Gee, they're dead! Poor baby and car.

None Annoy Me

I didn't read any of the comments above so i have no idea if i'm repeating. This does annoy me (which is why i picked it), however, I definitely realize why they did it. They didn't want Leyton leaving to seem like a goodbye or an end. They wanted it to just be a beginning.

none ANNOY me. But leyton did have a quiet ending. I thought they should of had a big finale, they have been half of the show for years. I would have liked a proper goodbye for Breyton & for Laley who have been HUGE parts of eachithers lives since they were little kids. Plus Lucas just left jamie :O
Thyere gone forever, so to me i think they needed a little tree hill closure, since it is their home. Although if they didnt say goodbye this does give me a little hope that they may not have had to say bye -because their planning on seeing then again :)

Both, but at least Naley will be coming back. The fact that Leyton left with out a goodbye was pretty disappointing since in the earlier seasons friendship played a big part in the show, it just kinda sucked.

I hated the way Lucas and Peyton left. It was bad enough that two of the main 5 were leaving FOREVER, but we didn't even get a goodbye to acknowledge their friendships with Haley, Brooke and Nathan. :( I just hope they make an appearance later on in the season - for the finale at least. It wouldn't feel right if they're not there.

Mark Schwahn knew full well that he was not signing Peyton & Lucas for S7. Couldn't he think for a better ending? Shoot some scenes to explain their departure or even ask Hilarie to appear in 7x01. From the video she left to her fans, it was crystal clear that her leaving the show was not her idea but really Mark should have come out with something better. No wonder Hilarie never returned..
