"Thanks for coming with me, Everett," Una ব্যক্ত as the two of them walked along towards the old house on the edge of town, Una holding on to Everett's arm as the sky slowly darkened and a chilly wind blew dead leaves around their feet. "I think my mother would have had a panic attack if I'd gone alone."
Everett smiled. "It sounds like a great way to spend হ্যালোইন night to me. But what made আপনি decide আপনি had to know if the house was haunted?"
Una shrugged. "I don't know. So I get to be the heroine who finds out the answer?"
The couple approached the house just around twilight. The place appeared deserted apart from a small group of four অথবা five people just outside, packing up equipment and looking as though they had been taking measurements to plan how the house would look on film.
Una waved to the crew. "Are আপনি the ones using this house for that movie?"
A young woman putting away a small video camera nodded. Then she shuddered. "To be honest, I'm not so sure this is a good idea anymore. The whole time we were here, the doors and windows kept opening and shutting of their own accord. And then we just heard this creepy laugh, didn't we?" She appealed to her companions, all of whom nodded. One man looked sceptical, though.
"It's an old house, in a neighbourhood full of crazy kids. There's nothing to it."
"When my বন্ধু and I would play pranks, we wouldn't have had the guts to go into this old place," another man said.
The first man shrugged. "Doesn't mean no one would try it. Besides, everything we heard was probably just the wind."
"Oh, no it wasn't," the young woman insisted. "And as soon as we get back, I'm talking to the boss."
Everett turned to Una as she waved goodbye to the departing film crew. "You sure আপনি still want to go in here? It's not too late to go to my place and put on a scary movie."
Una tossed her hair back. "Instead of a real-life mystery? No way."
As Una finished speaking, a loud creak caught their attention.
Una and Everett glanced up. The shutters of the nearest second-story window, which both were sure had been shut just a moment ago, swung wide open.
Una sucked in her breath, eyes wide in fascination. "Unless the wind blows from indoors now...."
Everett hesitated, then nodded. "Well, if you're still sure - let's do this."
He offered Una his hand, but she was already halfway up the stairs. "Ghosts অথবা pranksters - here we come."
Everett smiled. "It sounds like a great way to spend হ্যালোইন night to me. But what made আপনি decide আপনি had to know if the house was haunted?"

"What lead আপনি to the club where আপনি first saw us, Henry?" Les asked. Henry replied, "One of my neighbors told me that a rock band called A Wave Tossed in the Ocean was going to perform at the club that had opened the পূর্ববর্তি week. I thought that the name sounded interesting, so I asked him what kind of rock music, and he said, 'I think it's stuff from the sixties and seventies.' I was eager to hear the songs from my youth. When I saw আপনি perform, I knew আপনি were the right fit. Of course, আপনি know how we met backstage." Jimmy said, "And the rest is history." Everyone laughed. "Yes," Henry said. "The rest is history." Just then, Felix looked at his cellphone and said, "It's 10:00, guys." Henry said, "We better go to bed. We've got a big দিন tomorrow." The boys all said, "Okay. Good night, Henry." Henry smiled and said, "Good night, boys. Pleasant dreams." With that, they retired to their beds for the night.
