I went into the Pokémon Center in Fallarbor Town to get a jar of honey from the Bug Maniac there, and all of a sudden I'm stopped at the doorway and balloons and Pichu faces rain down on the screen. Then a birthday cake is displayed on the monitor above Nurse Joy. The game makes the player walk over to Nurse Joy and she wishes them a happy birthday and then proceeds to treat the player's Pokémon. Every single time I visit a Pokémon Center now, Nurse Joy always wishes me a happy birthday. Also, on the BuzzNav the very first bit of news I received was a male news anchor wishing me a happy birthday.
