In My Opinion they both are really good Pokemon trainers,they do have different styles of training,Shinji is more on the rough side towards his Pokemon,but it still works for him,while Satoshi is the type who always wants to become friendly with his Pokemon,so it's hard to compare them with their different battle tactics as well as different battle styles..but of the two I think Shinji-kun/Paul is better at battling,sorry Satoshi-kun!

I would say Ash relies more on friendship and luck to win while Paul relies on his skill and tactics to win.

I agree with LostOblivion.

I love the way Ash battles! Ash's battle style is much better.You always don't have to show that tough & rough side for battling.Although,Paul is good at battling but Ash is much better,he takes it patiently,remains calm at tough situations,thinks and finally figures and goes for the win!! I am a fan of it :)
