Princess Diana's Stunning রাজহাঁস Lake নেকলেস Is Now On Sale For $12 Million 

The late royal‘s iconic diamond and pearl necklace is up for sale — for a whopping $12.1 million. Diana famously wore the necklace, nicknamed the “Swan Lake set,” to a performance of

at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1997, just two months before her death.

A Ukrainian couple bought the jewels in 2010 for $632,000. In the year of the 20th anniversary of Diana‘s death, perhaps they’re hoping that the value has increased.

The necklace consists of 178 diamonds and pearls. And while it is undeniably stunning, it’s the historical significance that really increases the piece’s value. Diana’s 

appearance was one of her final public engagements. It was also the night she was introduced to Mohamed Fayed, father of Dodi, who died alongside Diana in the Paris car crash.

Diana only wore the necklace to the performance, although the jeweler, Crown Jeweler Garrard, was working on a pair of earrings to go with it. Her death came before the complete set was finished.

The earrings are part of the set that will be sold by New York auction house Guernsey’s.

If the couple sells the set for $12.1 million, they will have made a $11.5 million profit.
