Gus came with them because it's a company car and he's very protective of it. Jules asked Shawn out, but Shawn turned her down because he was on a তারিখ with Abigail.

Last season's finale, Shawn had a তারিখ with Abigail in the midst of a big case. Shawn solved the case, Jules ends up coming to the conclusion she officially has the hots for him (as Shawn has for the last 3 years) and tells Shawn while he's on his তারিখ with Abigail. Of course, horrible timing, and Shawn can't stand up the girl he screwed over years ago, so he goes on his তারিখ and kind of leaves Jules high and dry.
Flash অগ্রবর্তী to now, we're to assume things went well on the তারিখ and they're now a couple. Hope that helps a bit :)
I thought the same thing! but i'm happy they haven't gotten together just yet. আপনি can tell he still has a thing for her and vice versa, but this way they aren't pulling a Ross and Rachel and breaking up and getting back together and going on a break and blah blah blah... jumping the shark. I was confused too. I hate Abigail cause she got in the way of Shawn and Juliet. It's all good now, Shawn and Abigail broke up at the end on the 4th season after he risked his life to save her. (she is such a jerk.) Now the 6th season is starting soon and Shawn and Juliet are a couple. Shules forever!!!! <3
