Maybe someone can explain...

Mkay so after coming প্রথমপাতা today I sit down to watch a little tv. And as I turned through the channels I come across the Tyra প্রদর্শনী and on this episode Tyra is talking about good hair in the colored community. And talking about how hair is a big issue in the "black community" now I'm confused. I mean every culture has it's own style of hair and it's own look so I guess my প্রশ্ন is why do so many colored people relax their hair? Is colored peoples hair really that bad without relaxing অথবা straightening it?


I don't mean anything দ্বারা this question, I'm just not understanding. Why's hair such an emotionally charged issue?
