If it's a far away and small enough picture I think it's alright. None large enough for anyone to make out real features though. And don't put any location information অথবা your full name. There's allot of creepy people out there!

Honestly, I don't think it's a good idea posting your picture as your icon. There's thieves on here that would go on your পরিলেখ and steal your pic(s)(obviously because he/she has nothing better to do) and would do stuff to them. This incident happened in another club and a lot of people regretted putting their picture up.
Some people do- and I think it's alright if আপনি don't post your full name. অথবা আপনি can post your full name without a pic of you. I don't post my pictures cos I don't want ppl from school অথবা my parents just looking through my পরিলেখ and going 'OOO she has a crush on HIM. OOO she hates HIM. OOO she is a অনুরাগী of bla bla bla.'
I don't think there is a safety issue. It is certainly possible that someone could use your image for something আপনি wouldn't approve of (I'll leave it at that), but I feel it is unlikely in this setting.
However, I do agree that ফ্যানপপ isn't a place for posting pictures of yourself like ফেসবুক অথবা Myspace. But that's just my opinion.
It's never নিরাপদ to post a picture of yourself on the internet. It really isn't.
Plus, আপনি have to উঠিয়ে রাখুন your user প্রতীকী as any other pictures, and people can copy the লিঙ্ক of that picture as well, so it's definitely not safe.
There are millions of people who have পোষ্ট হয়েছে their pictures online without any negative effects. আপনি are removing a lot of anonymity, so আপনি have to be a lot আরো responsible with your actions. For example if আপনি have a blog and post your picture on it, আপনি would want to minimize controversy.
Basically, it's নিরাপদ but it does open doors if someone is really trying to find you.
There's lots of Crazy Lunatics in the world, I wouldn't put my face on the Internet..Just in case some Psycho from a mental asylum got loose and saw আপনি and started doing crazy sh!t like stalking আপনি অথবা eating your garbage.. Ya never know in this world..!!
