I have a প্রশ্ন about the Character "Tom Buchanan" from the Movie and/or book The Great Gatsby

is he a KKK member.? Not that it matters, but I did a little research and in the 1920's and 1930's that is what most "White Supremacists and White Supremacist groups"- were অথবা a part of, they formed KKK groups all across the country. Especially in the way North and South- the South, Southern states were notorious for KKK members. Sadly some groups still exist. Like sadly Nazi/Hitler worshipers. - Anyway, thats a whole other ballgame. Its just the প্রশ্ন if this character probably was অথবা wasnt.

Like আপনি ব্যক্ত the KKK was mostly prevalent in the South, and the book is set in Long Island and New York. (Yes there were some Northern members and still are, but the movement mostly unknown up there, especially in the 20's and 30's. The third KKK during the civil rights movement spread its ideals to the North more.)

With Tom I think it's just that because he's a rich white kid from the North he doesn't know much about other races and therefore buys into racist beliefs.

Lots of KKK members were rich, and even some really জনপ্রিয় Southern politicians in the past have been cardholders. Being a member isn't illegal anyway so there's no risk of being "caught." Haha, just saying. ^_^"

I dont know, he can "seem" evil/sadistic....KKK members ranged from mean to evil. Like Nazi members some were nastier than others Im sure.
