Why do people hate damsels in distress?

Because they are annoying and can`t do anything for themselves. Not all of them though ;)

Because we live in the era of women empowerment. Instead of waiting for our princes in shining armor, we should be out there fighting villains alongside them. EQUALITY!

Because I can't truly respect someone that doesn't know how to respect themselves.

Because we live in an era of shows and চলচ্চিত্র where the women needs saving and they can't protect themselves . I find it completely useless if আপনি don't respect yourself enough to take care of yourself in a dire situation to Which আপনি may actually die . I believe that empowered women and men are very honorable . আপনি shouldn't be dependent on someone else to get save আপনি from everything .
