Do আপনি think it's strange for a homosexual person to be religious?

Eh, not really. A bit ironic, perhaps. But maybe it could do some good, like trying to change many christians' stances on LGBTQ+ rights.

But It would be a bit strange if they were openly gay, religious and somehow also homophobic.

Nope! I'm bisexual and Catholic (though I don't go to church as often as I should). I've gotten some trouble for it, too, from both religious people and এলজিবিটি গোষ্ঠী people.

Sure, the church hasn't had a good history with এলজিবিটি গোষ্ঠী people in the past, but I'm hoping they can সরানো towards আরো understanding. The way I see it is that this is just another part of God's plan for me, and I can help bridge that gap in some people's lives.

Why should I think it's strange? They are still human beings and are just like everyone else except for the fact that they are আরো attracted to the same sex. Besides there are আরো religions than just খ্রীষ্টধর্ম অথবা Catholicism, I don't get why it should be strange. All religions should accept homosexuals anyways. Just saying.

No, I'm gay and Presbyterian. But you're right a lot of atheists seem to believe that আপনি can't be queer and religious. When in actuality many religions are quite tolerant/accepting of it, including খ্রীষ্টধর্ম -- really it's only Baptists that I've seen being homophobic, and even then, I know of one Baptist church that broke away from that and has a gay minister.

It's simple really. I hear on the opposing arguments that আপনি shouldn't force others to conform together and that আপনি shouldn't be forced to do something that আপনি don't want to. However, this is a double standard, because anyone who doesn't allow homosexual marriage is forcing their beliefs onto others and not allowing them to act how they want to. Their personal belief is infringing on the rights of এলজিবিটি গোষ্ঠী to live how they want.

No, I don't think it's strange at all. I don't think that sexuality and religion are related. Sexuality deals with the way your brain chemistry works and what you're attracted to. Religion is your concept অথবা perception of God অথবা the divine. I am a deist, and I'm heterosexual. I don't think my sexuality would change the fact that I am a deist.

Not at all. It doesn't really matter what kind of person আপনি are to follow a specific belief. Is it because of the Church's particular way of seeing Homosexual people? আপনি are Religious because আপনি want to believe in God and not because আপনি abide দ্বারা every view of other people on the same level as আপনি অথবা me !!!!

No. I might of thought that at one time, when I was পাঠ করা up on atheism and stuff. But idk, once I got through that phase in my life, I got to be best বন্ধু with a Christian. He doesn't care about homosexuality. I think it's a bit exaggerated and I feel that Christians gets way too targeted from এলজিবিটি গোষ্ঠী groups. It got annoying real quick.
So, I got to learn about religion in a less bias way. Although, I do feel a bit annoyed with the এলজিবিটি গোষ্ঠী community because I feel like they don't represent me very well. I feel this is related because well, this প্রশ্ন probably wouldn't be asked.

I can see why people would think it's strange since Abraham religions, in general, have distinct rules against homosexuality and it's been a point of contention in the not-so-distant past.
I myself don't find it to be too strange, though.
I'm of the opinion that আপনি don't need to follow all of the rules of a particular dogma to have a strong religious faith.

I imagine there are not many people- homosexual অথবা not- that truly follow every rule that their sacred text of choice puts before them, but that doesn't make their faith much less valid than the few who do.

I mean, I think there are rules against divorce in the Bible as well, but if a devout Christian couple gets divorced there probably aren't many people who really think about that being weird.
