Is marriage a LIFE CHOICE অথবা a LIFE REQUIREMENT?

If marriage is a LIFE CHOICE, then why exactly is it (oftentimes) pushed upon and সামগ্রিক treated as if it was a LIFE REQUIREMENT most especially দ্বারা AND from society?😑😒😕
