If the bible states that clear then I want to throw it on a bonfire?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Bible doesn't say animal cruelty is okay.
It just says that humans are above animals on the food chain, and were made to be our food, so we should eat them. I'm pretty sure it doesn't say that animal cruelty/torturing animals is okay...

I don't know where some people get some of the stuff they're claiming is in the bible. I know I haven't read it since I was like 6 but people take it as they may.
I think you can be religious without breaking laws.

It doesn't state that, but when people unjustly slaughter poor animals because we are above them in the food chain it is sick. Unfortuanly, people do it!

In High School religion class we were taught that animals DON'T HAVE SOULS! they were meant to provide a service for man and that it. They don't go to heaven, make wonderful sacrificial offerings, and apparently it was all the rage back then to slaughter your lambs and use their blood for pretty red door.

ofcourse animals have souls - PEOPLE ARE FORMS OF ANIMALS!!! you're either a plant or an animal to live on this earth and i'm pretty sure we aren't plants.
the only reason people are above animals in the food chain is because of our intelligence - thats it. the rest of our bodies are really bady designed. we have no fur to keep warm, no sharp teeth, no claws, we are slow runners, we have weak immune systems, our feet have evolved into a near useless shape. and we're extremely dependant on other animals. if we didn't have our inteligence we'd be towards the bottom of the food chain.

and im pretty sure the bible doesnt mention animal cruelty. and if it does the it shouldnt.

No, I'm not anti-christian but i'm afraid, I did feel sorry for that poor donkey on the night Jesus was born, walking so many miles when now if your over 7 stone you can't ride donkeys as it will hurt there poor backs.
