i don't believe that a true christain can support gay rights. i believe its wrong in God's eyes.

Anyone can have great faith in God or any other powerful figure, and still support the rights of others no how a person or anything views it.

Also, God is supposed to be an exceedingly loving being, meaning he definitely loves homosexual/bisexual people. That's what EmoCupCake is doing.

^sapherequeen, its true, God is of Love but WILL NOT allow sin in his presence. he loves all human beings including gay one's, but does not love what they do. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I agree with sapherequeen. I personally dont believe in God but if he's real then surely he'd want everyone to be loved as an equal. Afterall, we are ALL God's children.

I'm a Christian and I fully support Gay rights. If God didn't like Gays, He wouldn't have made some people Gay.
I believe a true Christian should love everyone, no matter of age, gender, colour, sexuality etc. So EmoCupCake is a good Christian.

Yes, but if he didn't like it, if God is all powerful like some Christians say, He could have just made them straight again.
Also, before it starts, by saying that God might not be all powerful does not mean I'm a bad Christian. I'm not saying anyone in particular will, but just in advance.

Well who says gays ignore god? Some gays are christions, and they beg for forgivness for their sins as well. Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they aren't christions. It's just their sexual orientation. And most can't choose if they are gay or not.

People make their own choices, but how do you know exactly if God doesn't love their ways? Perhaps he loves their life, that they are making their own decisions?

My teacher is gay, but you wouldn't know it.
He is a wonderful person who's funny, kind, and I think that he is a great father considering that when he talks to our class about his kids, you can just see that he cares about them a lot!

There are a few friends of mine who are gay and they are just about the nicest and best friends you could ever have.

Heck, if we had been gay ever since the beginning (theoretically) and some people weren't gay, wouldn't THAT be considered a sin? I know that sounds weird but I was thinking about that.

Overall, I believe in gay rights. I support them and gays.

It's time we apply logic to this situation.

The Christian view (please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how I understand) is that God creates you. Correct?

Homosexuality is not something you can be enticed into. I will repeat this for effect: NOT something you can be enticed into. It is the way you are made, and cannot be changed.

Now, remember, God created us. In other words, he made us. Homosexual or not is the way you are made. Therefore, if God did not want homosexuality, he would not have made people gay or lesbian.

There is something else I feel needs to be brought into this. It is not entirely related, but relates to something you said, Twilight-dream.

And I quote: 'when the truly saved will be rewarded in the end, and the sinful will perish.'

Shouldn't God reward his children based on how good a person they are, not how good a christian they are. This is an old Greek Philosophy, as opposed to the Christian one.

Example:

There is a horrible man who everyone agrees is a nasty person. Yet he attends church every week, prays and is generally a devout christian.
At the same time, there is another man who gives money to beggars, helps feed the needy and is all round a good person, yet he does not attend church. When the 'final judgement' comes, who should be saved, the horrible one or the nasty one? Think about that.

Also, I happen to know LoopyLuna96 very well, and I can assure you she is a good christian. Christianity is a religion based on morals, and she follows these morals well. She has faith in God. Being a 'true christian' doesn't neccessarily mean being a sheep as well. It's alright to have doubts. I think blind fatith is rather worrying, and I'm sure many will agree.

friendsfan101 - thank you for not yelling at me like most people do when i talk about this. i respect your opinion also. im not saying that whenever i see a gay person i put my fingers together making an x and say "SHUN them!". there are very nice people who are gay. my mom is friends with one. she is trying to bring her to Christ. that's why most of us christians do this, because we want to help them. i didn't mean to come off rude before in my other comments. but its just that when i comment about issues like these, i really want to get my point across. IF God deemed being straight was a sin, then it would be. but he didn't.

EmoCupCake: its really simple. IF you truly follow the Bible, then you can't accept gay rights. and i really don't believe that someone is born gay.

I believe in god. Although I get confused easily about beleifs and ways of other people. I mean, what if christions are WRONG? What if the buddhists have the right idea? What if the jews are right? No one religion can completely be proved right or wrong until we die. When we die, we'll figure out which religion is right, right? Because then we'll know if we go to heaven or are reborn into something else. And what if whatever you beleive in happens to you? What if if you're a christion you go to heaven, and if you're a buddhist you get reborn? What if whatever happens to you after death depends on your religion? But what happens then to people who have NO religion?

well i can only speak for my beliefs EmoCupCake, and i truly believe being born again is the right way. i can feel it. there are many people who have died and have come back to life. they said they have seen heaven and all of its glory, and guess what, all of those stories have come from Christians.

I beleive they both get into heaven. I mean, again, everybodu sins. So a sin once in a while will not send you straight to hell. And not going to church does not mean you will go to hell either.

Twilight_Dream, does the scripture ever actually SAY that homosexuality is wrong? I've read the bible countless times (of course, LOL) and I do not recall ever reading about homosexuality.
The only one I could remember reading is about incest being wrong (which I still don't get because I hate incest, but weren't pretty much people in those days brother and sister/cousins or whatever and they all married each other?) So could you please tell me exactly WHERE it says homosexuality is wrong?

I don't understand the question. I am a christion, but I'm just confused about other beliefs. Because I don't understand why there are so many different religions in the world. If christions are right, then every other religion is wrong then. But what if one of the other religions is right? I hope the christions are right though. But we won't know until we die. And by then it might be too late to contact people on earth. So the questuion over which religion is right will gnaw on me for the rest of my life.

It doesn't make sense to me that God accepts people but not homosexuals. What, is it, "We accept EVERYONE, except for this type of person, this type of person, and oh, yea, THAT type of person."

And also, Twilight_Dream, what is wrong with all beliefs going to heaven, as long as they are kind, good people who have only good in their hearts? I know that everybody sins, but as long as people are kind and great people, I believe that they should all go to heaven. = )

I mean, Gandhi wasn't a Christian! He was Hindu! He admired the way of Christianity (link), but he refused to become a Christian or follow Christianity. And yet he was a kind person and helped so many people!

Gandhi was a good man, but i'm afraid i believe he didn't go to heaven. i wish he did. but as long as he didn't follow Jesus Christ, he didn't go to heaven. as long as ANYONE doesn't follow Jesus Christ, i believe they won't go to heaven. you might think thats not fair, but that is your idea of fair.

Of course it's okay! God made all people to be equal, gays are no change to that! We're supposed to support and accept one another. And God is all-powerful, people can't help it if they're gay.

All religions go to their own heaven, or are reborn etc, because we all believe in the same God, we just have different interpretations. There is no way of knowing who is right, and I don't think anyone would be punished for believeing a slightly different thing.

Just because someone believes something doesn't mean it has no flaws. Yes, you believe it, but we don't. I'm assuming you see holes in my arguments etc, so you point them out. There is a difference between belief and faith. Maybe you are right, maybe I am. I know you do not feel there are holes does not mean there aren't, because no argument is completely foolproof. I don't mean any offence when I say this, but there isn't a nicer way to do so:
