Cheer up Swen! 

Our ship may not be canon but the love between Emma and Regina is! Below is a list of canon moments that prove it.

1) They both worry about each other

Regina: Where the hell have you been?Emma: On witch watch.

Regina: Don’t worry about me… I can handle one wicked sister.

Emma: (Sighs) If you won’t take me with you, I want you to take this. I hope you don’t have to use it, but I want you to stay safe.

Regina: Emma! Emma! Emma, it’s not worth it. *when Emma is about to punch a guy*

Emma: I’m fine. I’m absolutely fine.

Emma: I’m sorry. Regina’s doing what? *upon hearing that Regina is going undercover*

Emma: Regina, listen to me. This is a bad idea. This woman, this dragon, she’s dangerous, And you don’t know the first thing about going undercover.Regina: I understand your concern, but I’m in.

Emma: Okay, well, then I’m in too.

Emma: I’m gonna stick by you. I’m gonna get your back while you do this.

Emma: I’ve been watching you. I saw you casting a sleeping spell, And my gut said something was wrong.

Regina: Well, it will be if you don’t get out of here… I’ll stop them and fight my way out.

Regina: I know you think I’m in over my head, but I got this.

Emma: I’ll be right on your tail. I see anything I don’t like, and I will come in blazing.

Regina’s phone message for Emma: I GOT THIS *leaving Emma behind to keep her safe*

Regina: You made me a monster. But I won’t let you do the same to Emma.

Emma: That’s a woman who wants to change. She just wants everyone else to see it. I know that look. I know her. I believe her. *when Regina is accused of killing Archie*

Emma: Aah! Regina! Enough! Stop this!Regina: No, you stop it… reach into your gut. You know you can do this. It’s inside you, Emma.

Emma: For what? We haven’t done anything yet.

Regina: You saw how quick this town was to blame me. But you you believe I didn’t cast that curse. I know that wasn’t easy for you.

Emma: Sure it was. I knew you were telling the truth.

4) They have the power to hurt each other

You know what they say about people you love hurting you the most…

Emma: You can pretend all you want, but we know how you are, and who you will always be.

Regina’s face… (she looks so sad when she thinks Emma has lost faith in her)

Regina: You? You did this? You’re just like your mother. Never thinking of consequences! *when she realized Emma brought Marian back*

Emma’s face… (she looked almost as hurt as Regina)

Emma: Why are you doing that? I was just trying to give you credit. I’m trying to be nice. *when Regina makes a sarcastic comment*

5) They both wanted forgiveness from each other

Regina: Emma, I’m sorry. Snapping at you, I shouldn’t have done that. Will you accept my apology? 

Emma: I wasn’t looking for you to assuage my guilt. I was just looking for you to be my friend.Emma: I’m not gonna stop trying. Even if you still want to kill me.

6) They can both tell when the other is lying. They know each other that well!

Emma: Unlike you, the rest of the world isn’t always scheming to get what they want.Regina: No. You’re hiding something.

Emma: My superpower may not be perfect, but with you, Regina, I always know when you’re lying.

7) Emma called their connection “unique and special”

Emma to Regina: Living in Storybrooke, I’ve got my son and my parents, and I love them. But they can’t always understand me.They don’t know what it feels like to be rejected and misunderstood not the way I do, not the way you do. And somehow that makes us I don’t know unique, or maybe even special.

Quite honestly this scene made me tear up. It was so beautiful to see them come so far…

Regina: What do you say we help each other?Emma: What, like a road trip?

Regina: Well, if that’s what you want to call it.

Emma: I’m okay, Regina. I don’t need a babysitter.

10) They have both made sacrifices for each other

*Regina absorbed a death curse to save Emma*

Emma to Regina: You’ve worked too hard to have your happiness destroyed!
