Demi Lovato And Selena Gomez Best Friends Again, Why They Rekindled Their Friendship

We haven’t been hearing much about Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato lately since the two drifted apart. They used to be best friends, but certain circumstances have driven them to go their separate ways.

However, the former besties appear to be rekindling their friendship again after they showed support for each other at the VMAs.

Cosmopolitan magazine, Lovato admitted that she thought that she was better than some people when she decided to become sober and called herself “stuck up.”

However, after going through the tough journey, she found her path away from being judgmental and decided to reconnect with old friends again.

“I used to be judgmental and stuck up when I had a year-and-a-half sober. I recently rekindled my friendships with people, because I thought that if you weren’t sober then you didn’t have your s**t together. I thought I was better than you. I’m not longer that judgmental person,” said Lovato to Cosmopolitan.

While Lovato performed her hit single “Cool For The Summer” at the MTV VMAs, Gomez was spotted clapping and cheering her on with Taylor Swift. The two of them looked very proud and surprised by Lovato’s performance.

Lovato was also spotted clapping and showing some support with a bright smile when she went up on stage with Swift.

Many fans were hoping that Lovato and Gomez would snap pictures together on the red carpet after the “Cool For The Summer” singer started following Gomez on Instagram.

Some fans got emotional when they saw that Lovato was following Gomez on Instagram on their feed.

Last year, Lovato explained that she unfollowed Gomez on Twitter because they were no longer friends.

“I think it’s just one of those things where people change and people grow apart,” said Lovato to “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen.

Later on, Lovato apparently threw shade at Gomez on Twitter, posting a meme of herself with the words, “Swimming away from your bulls**t. Bye b***h.”

Now many fans are excited to see the two rekindle things and tweeted, “Demi Lovato started following Selena Gomez on Instagram!”

“Demi followed Selena on Instagram. Looks like someone wants their friendship back,” tweeted another fan.

Another fan said, “DEMI FOLLOWED SELENA ON INSTAGRAM. THIS IS THE BIGGEST MOMENT OF 2015 THUS FAR.”
