I have several reasons:

1. Andrew Garfield is hotter
2. Toby Maguire remindsme of my uncle who is twelve years older than me
3. Andrew Garfield makes a better teen
4. Andrew Garfield's version of Spider-Man is more of a smart ass, which I like.

Also, I have two more facts.

1. Andrew Garfield actually has chemistry with Emma Stone, while Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst don't. Tobey always got so shakey when they would have their scenes, and off-set, he mentioned that he did "not quite like Kirsten".
2. Andrew makes Peter Parker actually HAVE a character. When Tobey played Peter/Spider-Man, it was as if he didn't have any character at all.

I like how he keept the old web shooters from the origanal comic books.

I'll explain why later. Even though, I don't really need to explain why he's so amazing, but I'll do it anyway.

Come on. Tobey Maguire was a near perfect cast for Peter Parker. It can't be that an English guy could play him better? Right?

Andrew Garfield can play Spider-Man; Tobey Maguire IS Spider-Man. There's no competition.
