On the প্রদর্শনী Supernatural, how did Sam and Dean find their jobs through out the seasons?

I know they browsed through news and among other things. But specifically how did they know where to look? Because in the প্রদর্শনী they found strange things going on in places and even other states outside the one they are in before leaving for the job. But one state অথবা city won't supply news of another so how do they know how to look for it and find the strange happenings in America? They must be looking somewhere else, but where? So that would mean having a উৎস somewhere, somehow অথবা at least knowledge on how to find sources.

Please answer this. I'd appreciate it.

They also get case recommendations from other hunters, and occasionally calls from people they've helped in the past.

They have their dad's book that helps with resources and the newspaper most times helps and Sammy's laptop.

Internet, newspapers, friends, other hunters. There are no newspapers that cover every single odd occurrence nationwide- there's not enough room in one paper for that. But if they picked up a local newspaper in every town they stopped in that would give them a range. However, I think আরো recently they've depended on internet news sources to find jobs.

In the episode "Shut up, Dr. Phil" Dean had searched the phrase Freaky Accidents. So I'm guessing that they did that. Plus, if it's big enough, news can go nationwide. Even hit small towns. Nowadays almsot every town has their paper online, so It's not that difficult.
