john wasn't hitting them with the love word everyday when they were growing up..that's where a mom comes in..the boys didn't have a mom to tell them "I love you" either, so that's probably why it's extra hard for them to say it to each other...

Dean to Sam after Sam asks him to kill him "I can't, I rather die"

Dean calling Sam a bitch or Sam calling Dean jerk but in a loving way
Dean calling Sam - Sammy and Sam saying "only he can call me that"
Sam to Dean "there is nothing I wouldn't do for you"
Sam to Dean "I'm not going to just leave you here,"
Sam to Dean " I wish you just drop the act and be my brother again cause...just cause"
Sam to Dean: "you're my brother, and I'd die for you"

but i'd rather hear Dean sayin' it first 'cause Sam is always on the brink of saying it but then something stops him, so if Dean were the first one to say it it would be like epic :)

Okay i'm rewatching the season i'm sure they've said it before...like "your my brother Dean i love you..." or something...surely? OMG that's really weird! Anyway it's so clear who needs to say it when they where both willing to sell their soul for one another - personally i think that's alot more meaningful and well, lets face it, AWESOME!

Ok I want to combine two options here! "dunno..they don't wanna be all girlish..let's get the trickster to make'em say it" and "any1 can say "I love you" but showing it is a lot harder and much more valuable"
I think neither of them wants to be the one to say the actual words first. I know they've said it in so many ways in like every episode just the way they are together and how they treat each other! Having the trickster getting them to say it would be awesome I think. But they would be pissed and kinda hurt if they realised that they had said it to the wrong person after everything they've been through! But who doesn't love hurt Dean or Sammy!!!

In a way I think it will be more of a Goodbye thing when they finaly do say it!

Dunno... guys only tell their mothers and usually their wives that they love them. Remember Dean's "Tell mom I love her", that sounded more in context than either of them coming right out and saying it to one another, most probably they'll say it to someone else, "I love my brother, would die for him" sort of thing. They're very much guys in that aspect.

they don't have enough time to fall in love with someone, but I want to hear it someday..

I don't want to hear either of them say it, but for the same reason most of you give - they show it in far more ways than words could ever do. I might make an exception for something like, "luv ya, man" with a punch on the arm, but even then....awkward!!

I also don't want to hear them say it to any love interests, but I don't know...Sam and Ruby...eww, but who knows??

I was kinda confused; I thought you meant saying "I love you" to a girl. But yeah, whether it's to each other or to a girl, I think Dean would be more likely to say it, probably in one of his sad, sensitive moments. Even so, I don't think either of them ever will.
