boring and being played by a bad actor are the only ones that aren't completely stupid. i can see how those two could turn you off from liking a character. but this one is especially stupid, who cares who the actor played before? it's a completely different show and completely different character

Why would I like a boring character or one portrayed by a terrible actor? Those are pretty legit reasons.

I think some of these reasons are legitimate (as livelydebate stated)

If the actor can't act- the character comes off as meaningless and useless. It's so frustrating when a scene is supposed to be passionate, emotional, and meaningful but it feels like the character is completely ruining the mood (thus the frustration with the character) simply because the actor has really poor acting skills.

If the character is boring... it's easy to dislike him or her. Boring characters can drag down an exciting and intense show.

And if the character is stupid... well, I guess it depends on the character- but I often think it's a good reason to dislike him or her. Stupidity can be really annoying... ESPECIALLY when it's done in a "cute" way. I couldn't stand watching "Newlyweds" with Jessica Simpson because her stupidity irritated me. And the really annoying thing was you could tell she wasn't actually so stupid but she did it to be entertaining and to be "cute." That annoys me like crazy!

But I think that disliking a character because you think he or she is ugly, is overrated by fans, or the actor/actress who plays the character played a different character that you didn't like on another show are really poor reasons for disliking a character.

I agree with you..and as for a charactor I am sick of hearing about how overrated this character is and blah blah..if it is an awesome character so why is not allowed for so many fans to love the character in peace without hearing this word OVERRATED ! and they go around just hating in this character with just this reason !!

there are normal reasons not to like a character if an actor can't play or a character is boring
but it's really strange to hate any character because of look or any rated

You can't get anymore shallow than this. Some of the best actors are not necessarily the "hottest. Look at Steve Buscemi, Forest Whitaker, and Michael Emerson, none of which are particularly good looking yet they are absolutely captivating in their roles.

OMG, really? So you can't love someone just cause they're overrated. That's so stupid.
Also 'they're ugly' (personality over appearance, WTF?!) and because the actor who played them played a character I didn't like on another show. That's just lame. The two characters have nothing to do with each other.

We don't judge someone about their appearance or their clothes and it's not because we hate the actor who plays the character that we definately have to hate the character ( same in the other way) . It's a shame.Anyway I picked this one because it's the one I see the most but they are all so useless.

Agree with all of them (except the bad actor one) but this one is just so UGGHHH and I swear, on internet there are MANY MANY people like this, you can't even imagine. Idiots :/
