We last spoke of Addison when she was on her first hunt. Midnight's siblings were setting আগুন to the field. Addi is good as gone and passes out from all the smoke.

But what's this? A dog? Yes, a black Labrador! He pulls Addison onto his back and carries her beyond the flame's reach. They fall into the river, and he pulls her onto the bank.
"(cough cough) Where am I? What happened?"
"Don't worry. You're safe, in the Fourtrees" (BTW the Fourtrees are a special part of Kyk and Roete's territory where they meet with other packs)
