Oh my stars, I'm totally floored!*deep breath* Firstly, I'd like to say what an honour it is for me to be here in a room full of so many awesomely talented fanpoppers. I'd like to begin দ্বারা congratulating all the nominees and the winners in this year's Fanpoppy Awards.
I'm kind of at a loss for words as I don't have anything prepared which is why I actually waited so long before expressing my sincere gratitude.
My husband, being a very talented man in the advertising business had put together a nice little acceptance speech for me ... just in case I won. Darrin is not only a loving and caring husband and father but he has an abundance amount of faith in me. He wanted me to be prepared. "Sweetheart," he said, "it's always better to appear confident than stand in front of a crowd looking like a goose."
I did have my little speech safely tucked in my cape when I left প্রথমপাতা but somehow doing the course of the night it mysteriously disappeared.
I have my suspicions that Mother's handiwork is at hand here. Mother's a good woman but she did express to me earlier that she thought the speech Darrin had put together for me was a lame attempt at humour দ্বারা a mere mortal that was made up of 99% hot air. Mother can be so unfair where my dear hubby is concerned.
Anyway, I'm standing here in front of আপনি all so I'd better get on with what's on my mind.
I am truly honoured and extremely happy to have won this award for contributor to a single spot. I was nominated in several categories but if I was to win for one then contributor to the বেটিউইচ spot was the one I would have hoped for. This spot means so very much to me. I have created about 17 spots here and belong to many others but the বেটিউইচ spot is where my হৃদয় is. Many users,I think, assume that I created this spot about my little family but I did not. Someone (obviously with awesome taste!) had already created it when I stumbled onto the pop a বছর ago. I must say there was not a great deal of content so I proceeded to fill it up a bit - under the pseudo Cammie. I don't believe it pays to brag about one's self*cough* অথবা family *cough* which is why no submissions in the spot are দ্বারা Samantha Stephens.
The অবিশ্বাস্য thing to me is that বেটিউইচ was up against another 4 totally awesome and জনপ্রিয় spots. I mean, বেটিউইচ beat out Friends. Is this madness? That a vintage 45-year-old প্রদর্শনী could be included and then actually win over some of the আরো contemporary shows is sheer disbelief. I also want to commend a user that was nominated in this category for oustanding contributor - and that is IsisRain for the Michael Caine spot which was created দ্বারা IsisRain about 6 months পূর্বে as a dedication to a great actor. The fantastic thing about this spot is that it's chocka full of content and has about 150 fans, it contains an অবিশ্বাস্য amount of images, videos, astounding ক্যুইজ questions. What's so amazing? I believe it's fair to say that 99.9% of all content has been দাখিল হয়েছে solely দ্বারা IsisRain herself. I'm in awe of this spot and what Karen has done with it - a remarkable achievement দ্বারা a single user.
Also like to specifically thank 4 users here. These users are active in rating my বেটিউইচ content and leaving lovely and encouraging comments. They are IsisRain,Berni, KatReader and DarkSarcasm. I feel they deserve a special mention for their ongoing support. Thank আপনি so much guys, it means a lot to me.
Can't leave without,of course, paying tribute to the judges for their hard work. So to hooch-is-crazy,blisslikethis and dazl: thank you. Also congratulations to hoochy for his Fanpoppy win on his awesome motto.
