The Fault in Our Stars leads MTV Movie Awards nominations

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, and ZAC EFRON\'s comedy NEIGHBORS will lead the pack at this year\'s (15) MTV Movie Awards after landing seven nominations apiece. The films will go head to head for the Movie Of The Year prize at the ceremony along with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and awards season favorites American Sniper, Boyhood, Selma, Whiplash and Gone Girl. The Fault in Our Stars actress Shailene Woodley will battle The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence for the Best Female Performance prize, along with Emma Stone (Birdman), Reese Witherspoon (Wild) and Scarlett Johansson (Lucy). Woodley\'s The Fault in Our Stars co-star Ansel Elgort will compete in the Best Male Performance category, going up against Hollywood heavyweights including Bradley Cooper for American Sniper and Channing Tatum for Foxcatcher, as well as Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Miles Teller (Whiplash). Elgort will also compete for Best Breakthrough Performance with Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), David Oyelowo (Selma), Dylan O\'Brien (The Maze Runner) and Ellar Coltrane (Boyhood). Other awards up for grabs include the Best Scared-As-S**t-Performance, Best Shirtless Performance, Best Duo, Best Kiss, Best Fight, Best WTF Moment, Best Villain, Best Musical Moment, Best Comedic Performance and Best On-Screen Transformation. The prizes will be handed out during a ceremony at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on 12 April (15).
