First off, before any of আপনি get offended, these are my opinions so don’t bite my head off.

So, I’ve been here, পাঠ করা a lot of people saying how willing they would to jump into the Games. Really? You’d be that willing to put your life on the line — to probably be killed, to be famous অথবা rich? If you’ve read the books, you’ll know that there are at least four other children (districts one and two) who have trained for most of their lives just for this moment. Now I’m not staying that some of আপনি out their aren’t good with weapons, I’m just saying আপনি probably haven’t trained your whole life for a single bloodbath.

Onward. আপনি don’t know where you’ll be staying. আপনি could be staying in a forest, in an abandon town, in a swamp, অথবা anything in between. আপনি don’t know আপনি could be ready for it. For example, I would survive in a forest অথবা a fielded area so much longer than I would be able to survive on an island অথবা mountainous area. I think everyone’s body has built itself to live in the conditions they grew up it. I grew up on flatland, so I would be very out of my element in on a mountain range.

The last point I will make is this: killing. First off, আপনি have to make your way through the bloodbath, which is definitely possible. Lets even say আপনি got a weapon. You’ll still have to kill people and personally, I would like to think that not every child out there is willing to kill another on spot. Think if আপনি were up against a weapon-less kid like Rue (who seems to be a অনুরাগী favourite). Would আপনি be willing to kill a little, innocent kid on spot? And if আপনি can, will আপনি be able to then fight and kill the better trained one for the crown.

Once again, I’m not saying this to bash, I’m just saying, everyone out there seems to think they can win effortlessly. That’s not how it works though.

FallenLove Great article! I agree, people often say how good they would be, forgetting the fact that they would have to kill people!

banditsns1391 Couldn't agree more. Some people don't take the idea seriously. Granted, it's a work of fiction. Most people who think they would win the games are probably a little too over considerate of themselves. At the same time, they're probably thinking they'll rely on their instincts for survival and the training from the Capitol. If someone was attacking them, they'll fight back. The good news though, we don't need to find out.

hollistergurl Totally agree on every point! I know I would NEVER want to participate in something like The Hunger Games-- and let's face it, it COULD be us in the future...

DramaNut O my God; thank you for writing this! I feel the exact same way! My friends are always like "I could win The Hunger Games sssoooo easily." and I'm like "Yeah maybe, if you weren't so awful at playing sports and you were a mindless killing machine."

MichaelxxRupert YES! This is what I have always thought about people who say they wish the Hunger Games was real. I'm just like, "When you read the book did you even think about how horrible the Games are?"

marvel-glimmer totally agree with this. but the Hunger Games is still good, just it is harder than it sounds.

Clove_Cassidy Good points on everything. Especially the killing people part. It looks soooo easy because we're on a fluffy chair watching it happen. Besides there are the elements added to the mix: weather, animals, poisonous plants, dehydration. And yup, the games are absolute hell. But if I WAS in there, I'd take Thresh's route and hide out 'til they come to get me, then run away again. I don't know, maybe if there's no other choice, I'd have to *gulp* kill someone...but I definitely won't enjoy it.

peppergirl30 I agree, I don't think I'd ever want to be thrown into the arena. I really hate it when people just go ''I wanna be a tribute'' and don't even understand the consequences that come from it.

Dragonclaws Wow, people say that? I'm new to the fandom. In the Halo fandom, I'll occasionally see people saying they wish the game (about humanity being hunted to the brink of extinction by aliens) was real. Some fans are just, well, morons. In the Hunger Games fandom, it actually seems worse, though, because there's the Capitol audience. These tribute-wannabes are like the Capitol audience members disrespecting the human suffering going on. They take the role of the apathetic antagonists.

Flickerflame Good points, agree completely. I think that a lot of people just say "I'd like to be in that!" as a way of expressing love for their favourite books, films and TV shows, without thinking of the suffering involved. The Hunger Games is one of the worst cases.

How do আপনি think rue jumps from বৃক্ষ to tree? I think it would be hard.
