Chapter 8: Untroubled Repose.
Some time during the staring contest, Rin decided that there was no way she would win against the great demon lord. Quite frankly, it was kind of boring to her. She gave up and moved closer to him. She sat down পরবর্তি to his right shoulder as the mokomoko provided আরো comfort than the spiky armor on the other side. This was the closest distance to his world she will ever get. He was unstirred despite her movement.
Looking into the meadow seeing not much, she thought, as many others have, "What is he really staring at."
She found herself staring at him again and thought, "Lord Sesshomaru. That ফুল is beautiful, isn't it. And আপনি Lord Sesshomaru, আপনি are beautiful as well."
Still staring at him as meditatively as he with the flower, she continued her thought, "They all fear you, don't they? Even ইনুয়াসা and Kagome respect আপনি and keep their distance from you, My Lord. They say আপনি are a force of power to be feared. But Rin do not fear you, My Lord. Rin feel নিরাপদ with you. As if your power, your presence, your energy.... you, My Lord, are the essence of Rin's life...."
She continued on with her jumbled thoughts til some time has passed. As a human bearing the traits of human weakness, she felt her eyes growing heavy. She leaned her head against his body and fell into a deep sleep. An expression of peace manifested on her face, not unnoticed দ্বারা him.
He realized the child has fallen asleep. He straightened his right knee down to the ground, moved his arm out of the way lowering Rin's head along with her body into his lap. He, somehow, created a gentle wind which raised his mokomoko lightly into the air and flopped down softly on the child. Bending his left knee closer to his body, he switched the ফুল to his left hand resting on his left knee and continued to stare at it.
The night seemed unusually quiet disclosing no sound of nothing. There was a slight movement stirring at a distance from the village. It distracted him for a moment, but he quickly refocused on the object of beauty in his hand, the flower.
The night passed rather hasty this time. The flower, too, hastily withered in his care once again. He finally decided it was time to stop staring at it.
He loosened his grip on the flower. দ্বারা some telekinetic power, he pushed the drooping object away from him into some distance. He flicked his finger sending a মিনিট speck of light into the ফুল that still hung in the air. As it hit, the ফুল instantly pulverized into a fog of মিনিট particles, and vanished leaving no trace of it ever being there.
He sat still waiting for Rin's humanly repose to run its course. She didn't stir until daybreak.
"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru." She woke up, and the first thing she saw was her lord's golden eyes looking down at her.
She brought herself to a standing position, stretched out her arms in the air, faced the morning light, and called out to him once more.
"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru."
"What is it, Rin?" He proceeded to stand up and started to walk away toward the village.
"That was the most restful sleep Rin've had in years." She spoke with light laughter as she scurried to catch up to him.
"Yes, Rin." He গাউন a quick side glance at her. On his stoic unsmiling face, his eyes seemed proud of something as he continued on his walk.
