Although I do love Scar, it wouldn't have fit in the story line.

I know but it would have been alot more exciting that the present sequil.

I love him but, hell no.

There could've been more mystery and violence! So I say maybe. Be nice if they made a lion king 2 and a half like they did witht the first one. Or at least see Scar and Mufasa's childhood together.

I agree with Enchanment101, it would have been interesting, and as KingSimba4Ever9 stated, it would have been exciting.

I sort of have mixed feelings about this.

In a way, I think it's good that he does die because without him, Simba is free to take his place as king without the worry that Scar might suddenly return someday for revenge. So it gives the film a peaceful ending (which, considering everything Simba's been though, I think he deserves!).

But on the other hand, the suspense of Scar still being alive and the possibility of his return would be exciting. I sort of like the idea of Scar being alive with the other characters assuming he is dead. For example, if he'd managed to escape the fire and the hyenas at the end. So the hyenas would know he's alive, but they might not necessarily tell anyone (the lied to Scar about killing Simba anyway). I think that ending would've worked if they were planning a sequel right from the beginning.
