They’re both resting on the glovebox between the driver and passenger seats. They weren’t holding hands, but they were close, fingers were touching.

She kept smiling at him, at whatever he says. She glowed whenever he talked to her, and blushed appropriately at compliments.

She’d tease him, and I’d see him roll his eyes and the mirror, but I could tell he enjoyed it.
