Ok I'm gonna ask the obvious here but here goes why do many dislike Raoul?

Like Cosette in Les Mis, people hate Raoul simply because he exists. আপনি know, like Cosette is the main obstacle to the Eponine/Marius romance, Raoul is the main obstacle to the Erik/Christine romance. The funny thing is, they'll do anything to just bash Raoul: either he's a abusive boyfriend, an effiminate idiot scared of his own shadow, while it isn't the case at all! Actually, Raoul is simply the typical nice guy, that every girl would be very lucky to catch. So, in fanfictions, Raoul is always widly out-of-character, so the reason why I say it's funny is because phans inconsciously realize that Raoul and Christine actually really do প্রণয় each other and that it will take something BIG to seperate them!
