I guess it depends on wether the point of the show is that eventually any AI will go bad, or just skynet will.

Because if any tech will go bad, but John and Sarah keep putting off judgement day then eventually j day will happen when John (the only 1 who can win apparently) is either too old to help or is already dead. If judgement day is inevitable they should stop putting it off + focus on training John to be a soldier and leader.

That's why i picked yes. They know John is the only 1 who can win if there is a war but still try to stop skynet. If they thought they couldn't stop it forever it would be pretty darn selfish to essentially doom mankind just so they wouldn't have to bother with J day themselves. (wow, i really got into a ramble there didnt i?)

If they stopped Skynet, then John would never have been born because Kyle would never have gone back in time. As long as John is alive, Skynet will always start the war... and who wants to see John die?
