Xander Badica
Xander Badica is a royal Moroi boy and a student at St. Vladimir’s Academy. He asks Rose what it was like when she let Lissa feed off her and claims that Danielle Szelsky let him bite her once. Xander wants to know if Rose liked it and says that he wants to bite Rose to see what dhampirs taste like. Lissa gets angry and tells him to leave her alone. Rose tells Xander that she'd have to hit him and that it would be a waste because he was pretty. Xander is offended because he thinks he is আরো than pretty and when Carly doesn't agree with him, he forgets Rose because he has to defend his honor.

Since Moroi are the only ones with whom dhampirs can reproduce with to continue the dhampir kind, it is in their interest to stay close to and protect them. Dhampirs have had a long history of serving as guardians for Moroi. Years before, Moroi fought alongside their guardians against the Strigoi. Eventually though, it began to get too dangerous for the Moroi and the authorities have decided to leave the fighting to their guardians.
Morois are assigned guardians at a certain age, while royal Moroi have them earlier than others and even have আরো than one. Non-royals are assigned their guardians through a “lottery system” controlled দ্বারা the Guardian Council.

The Dragomir Family is the smallest with only two living members. From the smallest to the largest, Dragomir is followed দ্বারা Badica, Conta, Ozera, Tarus, Dashkov, Drozdov, Voda, Lazar, Zeklos, Szelsky and Ivashkov. The Ivashkov family has over 200 members. The eldest member of the family is প্রদত্ত the শিরোনাম of Prince অথবা Princess.
