Xander Badica
Xander Badica is a royal Moroi boy and a student at St. Vladimir’s Academy. He asks Rose what it was like when she let Lissa feed off her and claims that Danielle Szelsky let him bite her once. Xander wants to know if Rose liked it and says that he wants to bite Rose to see what dhampirs taste like. Lissa gets angry and tells him to leave her alone. Rose tells Xander that she'd have to hit him and that it would be a waste because he was pretty. Xander is offended because he thinks he is আরো than pretty and when Carly doesn't agree with him, he forgets Rose because he has to defend his honor.

Since Moroi are the only ones with whom dhampirs can reproduce with to continue the dhampir kind, it is in their interest to stay close to and protect them. Dhampirs have had a long history of serving as guardians for Moroi. Years before, Moroi fought alongside their guardians against the Strigoi. Eventually though, it began to get too dangerous for the Moroi and the authorities have decided to leave the fighting to their guardians.
Morois are assigned guardians at a certain age, while royal Moroi have them earlier than others and even have আরো than one. Non-royals are assigned their guardians through a “lottery system” controlled দ্বারা the Guardian Council.

The Keepers are a group of humans, Dhampirs, and Moroi who live away from modern society. Usually they live in the secluded woods. The name of the group “The Keepers” could potentially be a play on words about how the group “keeps” the old ways of the Moroi.

When the Moroi became আরো modern, they adapted the modern way of electing their monarch: through elections and tests.

Healing is a spirit ability which has been demonstrated largely দ্বারা Lissa Dragomir. This is shown in the series as being her best skill as a spirit user. Adrian Ivashkov also displays this power, but in weaker quantities.
Lissa has demonstrated that she can heal any physical wound, although it has been discovered that this ability is rather limited in the way that it cannot be used for mental injuries.
It is applied that one must be very adept at healing to bring someone else back to life. When mentally connected to a spirit user after being brought back to life a person is shadow kissed.
