This is chapter one of my fanfiction, Toxic Valentine, I know the chapter is a little weird and poorly written... but I wasn't quite sure how their meeting should be, hope আপনি guys like it though! =D

Stephanie's POV (Point of View)

I dive into the water; my red hair flips upwards, and eventually returns দ্বারা my side, drenched in water.
“Nice dive Steph!” Bridgette calls to me.
I smile and looked up at her and Geoff, the two were cuddling on a towel on the ground, it was a coincidence I even saw Bridgette here, I was coming only to practice my swimming, in order to teach swimming lessons, আপনি have to be a good swimmer.
“Did Duncan text আপনি back?” Bridgette asks.
“Yeah, he’s planning on coming,” Geoff replies.
“With Gwen?”
“Dunno, maybe. Dude’s got his own plans...”
I chuckle and get out of the pool; I plan on doing another few dives.
I reach the শীর্ষ of the diving board when I see him walk in... he looks directly at me, not saying a word to his friends.
I glance back at him and stare at him for a while. I shake my head when I realize I’ve been staring too long. I jump off the board and into the cold pit of water.
I raise my head out, my hair covers my eyes; I can see Duncan whispering something to Geoff that I can’t quite make out. I swim toward them and get out of the water.
“Hello gorgeous,” Duncan stares at me, I feel like I’m a trophy... his eyes scan me, from my face, to my feet.
“Uh... dude...” Geoff begins.
I laugh at Duncan, “Your flirtatious persona will get আপনি nowhere with me.”
He raises an eyebrow, “You’re familiar with my work?”
“Please,” I pause and look at him, “Have আপনি forgotten that your flirting was recorded? You’re a celebrity; it’s not that hard to know who আপনি are.”
He looks impressed; he nods his head at me.
I notice Bridgette and Geoff looking at us, I don’t care... but does Duncan?
“Besides,” I pause again. “Your pranks; are genius!”
Duncan looks stunned, “You’re also a অনুরাগী of my pranks? I like it...” He pauses, edging slightly closer. “Duncan,” He holds out a hand.
“Stephanie. Steph for short,” I shake his hand and look at him.
Duncan looks away for a brief moment, “So, you’re a swimmer?”
“I teach swimming lessons. It’s a crap job, but the pay is decent.”
I notice how Geoff and Bridgette are staring at us, I send Bridgette a look. “Uh... Geoff... I’m going to grab a snack from the vending machine, আপনি coming?” She asks her boyfriend.
Geoff nods and walks away with Bridgette.
Duncan rolls his eyes, “They’re probably gonna make-out,”
I chuckle, “Probably. Ugh, I hate clingy couples.”
Duncan nods, “Same,”
I smile at him. “Wanna swim?” I question.
Duncan looks at me, “I didn’t come here to swim, I came here to find a hot babe... and I think I found her.”
I roll my eyes, “I thought I ব্যক্ত the flirty crap won’t work on me,”
“It’s worked with every other girl I’ve been with,” Duncan responds without hesitation. “I was just waiting for Romeo and Juliet to leave,”
“You’re repulsive,”
“You’re hot when you’re angry.”
“Wow...” I pause. “Seriously, I do not like flirty guys.”
“Really? Cause up until Bridge and Geoff left, আপনি seemed kinda into me.”
I pause and turn around to look at him, “Until আপনি turned into the womanizing jackass that I remembered আপনি are...”
“Jackass?” He raises an eyebrow. “That’s offensive.”
I begin to walk away from him.
“I’m not going to stop আপনি know, আপনি watched Total Drama, আপনি saw my flirting with Courtney... you’ll want me eventually.”
“Aren’t আপনি in a relationship?” I ask demandingly, flirty guys annoy the hell out of me... especially Duncan. I’ve never met him, but due to the way he acted during Total Drama, he wasn’t someone I wanted to be বন্ধু with.
Duncan looks away, “Uh... no... we broke up a few weeks ago...”
“Oh...” I pause. I look down at the ground and scratch my head. “I’m sorry for snapping then...”
Duncan looks at me, “Well, maybe আপনি can make it up to me.”
“Ugh... I already don’t like the sound of this,”
Duncan edges closer, “Allow me to take আপনি out, if আপনি can go out with me and still manage to tell me আপনি didn’t have a good time, I’ll drop it.”
“And what happens if I enjoy my time with you?” I ask. “This won’t happen, দ্বারা the way, guys like আপনি piss me off too easily.”
“Playing hard to get already?” Duncan smirks at me.
“Just answer the damn question,” I hiss I tend to get angry pretty easily, especially when it comes to guys. Guys are just too damn annoying... well... most guys.
“If আপনি enjoy your time, I get to keep pestering you.” Duncan answers, a smug grin on his face.
I really should tell him, I know I should... but something, something in my gut is telling me not to... I really should say no, I know that would be what a smart person would do... but I’m not smart.
“Fine,” I agree.
Duncan does a double-take, “Wait... what?”
“I’ll go out with you.” I reluctantly say.
Duncan smirks, “I’ll pick আপনি up tonight, at... 6?”
I look at him, my eyes digging deep into his; I take a step closer to him. “Can’t wait,” I say sarcastically while turning and walking away.
