Katie was trying to understand what Chris had meant দ্বারা ‘fresh meat’, but these thoughts were quickly interrupted when she suddenly plunged into the water along with the rest of the campers. Apparently the dock couldn’t hold the weight of 23 people and collapsed.

“Alright guys! Dry off and meet at the campfire pit in 10!”

Chris laughed as the campers moaned and walked to the shore. Chris looked down at Katie, who was still in the water, trying to find her headband that had fallen off.

“Should a’ warned ya that standing on an old, worn down dock with 22 teenagers wasn’t the best idea. I should have…but I didn’t.”

He snickered and she placed her headband back on her wet, dirty blonde hair and gave him an icy glare. As she walked back onto shore, Chris walked up পরবর্তি to her.

“I don’t even have an extra pair of clothes with me…”

She mumbled. The host just chuckled at her misery, and she looked at him with disbelief.

”Shesh, don’t need to laugh at me….”

“Get used to it. I’m not the nicest guy around. But if আপনি can’t deal with me, আপনি DEFINITELY won’t be able to deal with Chef!”

Chris remarked as they walked into a small building. It had security cameras and a small ডেস্ক where Chef, of course in a chef’s uniform, was sitting and staring with a bored expression at the screens in front of him. He turned to the Katie and Chris when the door was shut.

”Your that 12 বছর old assistant, right?”

Chef raised an eyebrow to Katie, who was still trying to get the water out of her hair. She looked at him and blushed with embarrassment.

“I’m not 12! I’m 24!”

She snapped, and Chef just gave a small laugh.

”Sorry, but that’s how আপনি sounded on the phone.”

He started, but Chris quickly interrupted with a harsh comment.

”Well, I gotta point out that আপনি don’t exactly have the…figure…of a 24 বছর old.”

Katie was confused, and was curious to know if he meant she was fat. She poked her stomach, thinking to herself, ‘But I barely eat a thing…and my বন্ধু think I might be anorexic…do I really look fat?’. Chris smirked and realized her dilemma.

“I’m saying your FLAT, newbie. Don’t loose sleep over it.”

He laughed, walking out the door to I guess go meet the campers at the campfire pit. Katie’s face turned a brighter shade of red as she turned to yell at Chris, but he was already gone. She crossed her arms and turned back to Chef, who was trying to hold back from laughing hysterically.

”Yea, that’s Chris for ya. If আপনি don’t think you’ll be able to deal with it, I suggest turning your butt back around and heading home…”

Chef said, অথবা আরো like warned, but this didn’t phase Katie. She was used to being picked on, but just…never দ্বারা someone who’s been on T.V. before. It may take some getting used to, but she was willing to deal with it. And who knew…maybe it’d turn out that she’ll end up getting along with Chris!

She turned to Chef, who was watching Chris tell the campers about their time at the camp. Katie rocked back and fourth on her heels, waiting a few moments before walking পরবর্তি to Chef.

“So…when am I going to get interviewed?”

Chef stopped watching the TV and looked at her, shrugging a bit.

”When we feel like doin’ it. That alright with you?”

She gulped, nodding a little. Chef just gave her a smirk and turned back to the screens once more.

”Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll get the job. আপনি have my vote, cause I don’t want Chris only picking on ME the whole time!”
