I feel like people who "lust at first sight" like to try and play it off as some epic, amazing connection, but really... it just doesn't work like that. Don't get me wrong, I totally know that two people can hit it off and have a great connection right from the start, but love? Love just doesn't happen that quickly. Not the real, lasting kind at least. From my experiences, this is what love is: Love is crazy. It's complicated, it's messy, it fucks with your head and sends your heart all out of whack. Love can make you feel like screaming at the top of your lungs, jumping up and down like a maniac. Love can hurt you. It can make you want to cry sometimes, and sometimes, the best kind of love, it makes you feel like there is not one other person on this earth that can love you the way your romantic partner can. Although you do hear people say from time to time that they "knew right away" that someone was "the one" for them.
