Prologue

I never thought it would happen like this. The Quileute’s on my left, and the Cullen’s on my right. Both people I thought I could প্রণয় and trust. Both ready to kill me. I waited in weary anticipation as Edward and Jacob took two steps towards me, both looking upset yet focused at the same time. I felt my new family stir uneasily behind me, bound দ্বারা the same thing that kept me from running full throttle for the other side of the world. As I looked past the two advancing monsters, I saw Alice and Esme, staring at me with sad and pained looks on their faces, looking as if they would be crying, if that were not impossible. I threw them an approximation of a smile, trying not to cry myself as the two men in my life, who vowed to প্রণয় and protect me, moved closer to the kill, both coiled to spring. With one last deep breath, I took my last look at the beautiful ocean that surrounded us, closed my eyes and let a quiet tear escape, while both vampire and werewolf sprang.
