Michael Copon as Jacob? 

I don't know anything about this guy... but for now, I'm sticking with my "keep Lautner" thing. =P

first of all..what do they mean by "the older jacob"..i mean jacob still reamains in his teens..i dont think jacob even goes past 16years..and this ugly not-looking-anything-like-jacob MAN could be the worst person for jacob ever..

and i think they will keep taylor..well in imdb they put more of the cast that is going to be in new moon and taylor lautner is one of them...so..??

I still really want Steven Strait as jacob >.<

This Michael Copon guy played 'Felix Tagarro' in 'One Tree Hill' and was also the blue 'Power Ranger'! lol xD Actually, some people saw Jacob in him when he was in 'Greek (TV Series)':

Jacob is supposed to look older than 16 in 'New Moon' and in his twenties in 'Eclipse', if I'm not wrong.

Maybe the 'older Jacob' means the Jacob in 'Eclipse'? Switching from Taylor to Michael? o_O That guy looks a little too Asian to pass as a Native American imo. And I don't know about his acting.

I think they should keep Taylor on. Maybe they should have planned this out a little better before hiring him in the first place???

I think they should go for Michael Copon, in the book New Moon he does grow immensely and Michael is actually over 6 feet tall. He is perfect for the role, because Lautner doesn't fit the description in the sequel. They should go for Michael all the way. He is a better actor and can fulfill that role. Did you see michael in the scorpion king 2, link ... he was meant for this role!!!
