It honestly does /not/ matter anymore. The movie is done being filmed. He has been our Edward for over 6 months. Get over it and if people can't get over it shut up and don't see the movie. Edward is different in everyone's mind. Henry may be Edward in some minds, but we need to get over it that he won't be playing Edward in the movie.
I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm taking this out all on the person who made this pick, I'm not. I'm mostly saying in general.

I don't think this is a fair question. If someone else had been chosen for the movie, and Robert Pattinson had never even been mentioned, people would pick whomever had been cast. Possibly even Henry Cavill since it was Stephenie's choice.

i agree with herdestruction. if robert wasnt chosen for edward, and henry was, we would have the same agrument but instead of saying robert pattinson is the only edward, we would be saying henry cavill is the only edward. i personally prefer henry over robert because in MY head, henry was what i saw. obviously i think like meyer =P (its a joke people.) but im fine with robert, though i dont find him incredibly attractive.nhes cute, yes, but hes not "god-like". but thats my opinion, and everyone is entitled to theirs =)

I can't imagine anyone else playing the role of edward besides Robert He fits the description.
When I went to see Twilight when it came out As soon as edward was on the screen everyone ooooed and awwwed and whistled I though it was amazing I got the motion picture book too!
