Well, it doesn't ruin the game but it sorta takes the fun outta them by making the game easier.

The only good codes are the ones that make you laugh but don't make the game easier.
Adding celebrities and politicians to your team in NBA Jam, for example.
They had the same stats as who they replaced.

i dont mind cheats (but i hate ones that make the game easier).
take gta for example...that game would be pretty boring without codes like flying car,zombis instead of people etc!!!

What's the point of a game with cheats? It just isn't fun if you can just cheat. That's just my opinion

they made my PS2 useless

unless they give you a unlockable you can't get normally

Eh. I'm so good at video games I don't need cheats but... I like the funny cheats like the ones from GTA.

If they're used literally to cheat.

On the rare occasion though they can be helpful. Like in Skyrim where the Argonian I'd just married glitched out a bunch of times and I had to use cheats (and eventually a fan-made mod) to get him to our house. I think that's the last time I used a cheat on a game.

That'll teach me to go around marrying lizards.
