Actually, no, it really was Hollyleaf. Leafpool found a tuft of Hollyleaf's পশম in his claws, and at the end when she went in the tunnels, she told Jayfeather and Lionblaze that she killed him.

Actually, to me it makes perfect sense. Hollyleaf didn't want him to say that Leafpool was their mother, not Squirrelflight. She went crazy and ended up telling that same secret at that gathering. I know that all of the clues point to Squirrelflight, like how she was soaked when she got back to camp, but আপনি have to remember that Leafpool finds a tuft of black পশম in Ashfur's claws, and Hollyleaf tells Lionblaze and Jayfeather that it was her before she went in the tunnels.

i have yet to check on that one, but i believe you, still im having trouble accepting that squirrelflight is innocent, and it was a while পূর্বে when i read sunset.
