Chapter 4 ~

Vinepaw was dreaming. A powerful black and white she-cat was standing in front of her. "I am Copperstar." she mewed. Vinepaw noticed her coppery কমলা eyes. "I-I'm Vinepaw." Vinepaw stammered. Copperstar slowly padded forward. "You and your littermates have powers. Yours is great speed. Tell your sister that she must become the medicine cat apprentice when Brownfern joins StarClan." the leader paused. "Lakeshine will accept her." Copperstar faded.

Vinepaw awoke with a start. "I've got to talk to Tanglepaw!" she mewed, racing out of the den. Tanglepaw was watching Mintheart organise patrols. "Wouldn't it be great to be the deputy?" she asked Vinepaw. "Maybe. Listen, I met the leader before Goldenstar. Her name is Copperstar, she says Brownfern will die, and আপনি have to be Lakeshine's apprentice." when Vinepaw had finished, Tanglepaw stared at her in shock. "Is it because I can breathe underwater? she asked warily. Vinepaw wasn't surprised. "Yes, I have a power too." she raced around Tanglepaw, faster than any cat. "So will our brothers." mewed Vinepaw. Suddenly, she heard a voice in her ear; There will be a fifth cat. The cat who will complete the prophecy...

Chapter 5 ~

Stormpaw raced around the camp. He was surprised at how wonderful his প্রথমপাতা was. The MarigoldClan camp was a small island, with a deep stream on one side, and the lake on the other. How did I do that?" he growled. Then a thought struck him. Vinepaw had been running really fast. Tanglepaw was under the water for so long the other day. Bravepaw had leaped across the clearing. He must have super strength! Stormpaw felt brighter than the sun. "Yippee!" he yowled, running into camp. "He's left Rainclaw outside, hunting দ্বারা herself." Ashstone muttered to Hailfoot. "I'd better go train Bravepaw." added Hailfoot. He headed out of camp. Stormpaw wanted to yowl to StarClan that he was a super-cat. "That's ridiculous." He purred in amusement.

When Stormpaw and Rainclaw came back from hunting, the camp was silent. He smelled death in the air. "Brownfern!" gasped Rainclaw, dropping her squirrel. Brownfern had died. "What happened?" asked Stormpaw, laying his and Rainclaw's squirrels on the fresh-kill pile. Brownfern had helped his mother give birth to him and his littermates. "I found her like this, across the stream. I was looking for herbs. I will kill the cat that did this to her!" hissed Lakeshine. Stormpaw was surprised when Tanglepaw raced over to Lakeshine. "I need to be your apprentice!" she yowled. Had his sister gone mad?
