Kenzie arrives at Brennan's place and sits at the small টেবিল with him. He explain's Fin's whole story but from his P.O.V., ending with how Jessica betrayed him and his friend (known to us as Chelsea) and told the Phoenix to leave Fin. But his friend (Chelsea) got there just in time to keep the Phoenix in Fin alive.
He then proceeds to tell her that the phoenix overloaded and that it was an 'accident.' What Kenzie doesn't know is that Chelsea had injected Fin with an overly large amount of some substance that killed her and the phoenix momentarily.
This whole time, Chelsea has been cooking...

A French Quarter dance club

From the সেকেন্ড story balcony, the view of the club was overwhelming. The crowd was a whirling mass. The flappers and their dates spun and slid and swung their bodies freely, many flirtatiously so as the medium of dancing allowed their souls to fly free.
"You don't like to dance?"
Alexie looked up and to his right where a potbellied, white haired man in an excellent suit and tie took a puff from his cigar. The young man straightened, taking a draw of his own cigarette before calling over the music, "I prefer the view...

The three of them huddled around a single কেক on the granite countertop. In it was shoved twenty-two lit candles, one in the center above the rest, so that the entire শীর্ষ of the কেক could not be seen.
Bella took a deep breath and attempted to blow them all out, but as soon as the flames disappeared, they came right back. She furrowed her brows in puzzlement and tried again, only to be met with the same result.
