“What do আপনি mean she’s gone?” I demanded
“When we were on a mission, she বিভক্ত করা from the team to follow a goon. After a while, she didn’t return, so we went to find her. There was no trace of her. Her comm. unit was on the ground and there were signs of a fight: scuffs in the ground, things knocked over, claw marks on the wall, things like that. We searched the whole city, but she was gone” Robin explained
“People do not just disappear!” I exclaimed. The team and Red looked over at us.
“Thalia, we looked everywhere” Robin pleaded
“Well, apparently আপনি didn’t because আপনি didn’t find her!” I yelled
“Thalia, I can try to track her telepathically. If she’s anywhere in the city, I’ll find her” Megan comforted. She closed her eyes and put her hands to her head. She gasped.
“Megan, what is it? Did আপনি find her?” I demanded
“Yes, and she’s in trouble” Megan answered
“What’s happening?” I demanded
“Cheetah is trying to reverse engineer Cat’s DNA. But it’s not going to well. All she’s managing to do is take Cat’s blood” Megan responded.
“Where is she?” I asked
“In the abandoned toy factory” Megan said. I flew out the door before anyone could stop me. I flew to the factory at amazingly high speeds. I flew in and landed. I heard a scream. I ran towards it. I peered around to find Cat set up in some sort of contraption that took samples of her blood. A lady was also standing there. She looked almost exactly like Cat, but she was আরো mature and was taller. I flew up to her and punched her in the face. She hissed and clawed at me. I put up a shield of darkness and kept attacking. I fueled myself with my pain, worry and anger. She managed to স্ল্যাশ my cheek. I smacked her with my shield. I viciously attacked her until she was unconscious on the ground. I went and freed Cat from the contraption.
“What were আপনি thinking?!” I demanded
“I just wanted to be আরো like you” she whispered
“You almost gave me a হৃদয় attack when I got back and আপনি were gone” I murmured. I heard Cheetah groan. I picked her up in a black bubble.
“Thalia, when I was born, what did mom and dad name me?” she asked
“Do আপনি really want to know?” I asked
“Yes.” She nodded
They…they named আপনি Daímonas.” I muttered
“I wish that stupid oracle would’ve seen something good about me” she sighed
“Right now, all that matter’s is that you’re safe” I smiled
