Jade opened her eyes. She looked around her, seeing Rylan and Alisa seated দ্বারা her side.
“Wh-where are we?” she whispered hoarsely.
“You're inside Mt. Justice.”
Jade turned her head to see Robin on her other side. She noticed the bandage on his neck; the place she had bit him. Her eyes went back to his.
“I'm so sorry for biting you. And sucking your blood!”
“Don't worry about it Jade. It's okay. I know that if আপনি were in your right mind, আপনি wouldn't have done it. It's totally fine.”
Jade relaxed a little. She looked over to Rylan.
“How long was I unconscious?” she asked.
“No আরো than two hours. You're healing ability has improved.”
Jade nodded. She looked up at the ceiling, feeling bored. Robin, sensing her boredom, decided to ignore what the others had said.
“You can get up if আপনি want,” he told her. “You don't have to stay in here.”
Jade smiled.
“Thank you!”
Jade climbed out of the বিছানা and raced out of the room, doing as many cartwheels as she could. Alisa laughed and followed her.
“You sensed she was bored?” Rylan asked.
“Yeah.”
“That is the first sign. Alisa and I can never sense her feelings. Jade is...a mystery. And আপনি might be able to unravel her.”
“Why me?”
“You are the one connected to Jade now. আপনি have the ability to sense and know things about her that a lot of people don't অথবা can't. You're special.”
“Is Jade really that much of a mystery? Does she really need that much looking after?”
“I'm afraid so. Jade is a warrior but even warriors have hearts. That part of her has been untouched for many years. She hides herself so well. Maybe আপনি can be the one to help break her out of that cage she has built around herself.”

Jade cartwheeled her way into the Mt. Justice training room. She paused when she saw Superboy and AquaLad fighting. Her eyes followed them, watching with a fascinated expression. She crouched down and sat on her knees. Her mind worked fast as her eyes followed them around. They came past them once and Jade caught sight of Alisa. Her eyes were locked on Superboy and Jade smiled before her eyes focused back on the two fighters. A chill filled the air and Jade was presented with an ice cream cone. She looked up and found Rylan staring down at her with a smile. Robin stood in the doorway. Jade took the Frost made ice cream and licked it happily. She wrapped an arm around Rylan's legs, mewing happily. Rylan laughed a little, petting Jade's head before Jade let go.
“Come on Jade. Let's go sit in the living room.”
“But I wanna watch,” Jade pouted.
“Jade!”
Rylan's voice was stern but Jade only pouted more. Alisa stepped in.
“Jade go sit in the living room with Rylan. I'll be there in a মিনিট and maybe we'll even give আপনি some cookies.”
Jade's face changed to excited joy and she practically ran to the living room, Rylan on her heels. Robin came up to Alisa.
“She's like a kid sometimes isn't she?”
“Yes Robin. Jade missed out on her childhood. Never had she been able to rest from being a warrior. Her childlike behavior is trying to break through in as many ways as possible. This is one way of that. Jade wants to be her age. But she doesn't know how. Separated from humanity, Jade is practically a robot. Except when her emotions come into play.”
“It's funny,” Robin said. “Jade reminds me of someone I used to know.”
“What happened to her?”
“I don't know. I remember growing up with her. After ব্যাটম্যান started training me, I never saw her again. I miss her.”
“Who was she?” Alisa asked quietly.
“Her name was Becca. Rebecca Uccello Stevens.”
“Uccello?”
“Yeah. Her parents were part Italian. It meant bird. Something they used to call her; their little bird. To be আরো specific, they used to call her their sparrow.”
“I know of whom আপনি speak Robin. Her parents died three weeks after আপনি left. To train. Her sister abandoned her. She began a খুঁজুন for you. But it didn't take long for the Light to...dispose of her.”
“The Light killed her?!”
“In a way. I can not give out information; I am not authorized to do so. But just know this, Robin. Becca is closer than আপনি think.”
