I walked calmly into the lounge, only to find my পছন্দ archer in the world sitting there.
“Roy!” I exclaimed. He turned on me, hugging me.
“How are you? He asked
“Good” I smiled
“I feel like there’s something really special today, but I can’t put my finger on it” he said, tapping his chin thoughtfully. I nodded, feeling a little downcast on the inside. Today was my 16th birthday.
“So, why’d আপনি want me to meet আপনি here of all places?” I asked. I knew Roy didn’t like the mountain much; it reminded him too much of his past as Speedy.
“I picked a place I knew আপনি would be” he smiled “So I could see if আপনি wanted to go get a coffee”
“Sure” I nodded. We headed into town and enjoyed the nice summer afternoon. When the sun was setting, we walked along the সৈকত at Mount Justice.
“I have something to প্রদর্শনী you” he said. He slipped a blind fold over my eyes and I jumped, but relaxed when Roy put both his hands on my shoulders and guided my. Finally, we stopped.
“You can take the blind fold off now” he said. I pulled the blind fold off to see a beautiful ডিনার set up in the lounge area. The lights had been dimmed and candles were on a beautiful table, along with some of my পছন্দ things: Greek food, blue plates and crepes. He had even added a slice of লেবু to my water.
“Happy Birthday” he murmured in my ear, hugging me from behind.
“Roy…did আপনি do this all for me?” I gasped
“Of course. It’s your sweet sixteen, after all” he smiled
“But…it all looks so expensive! আপনি really didn’t have to-“
“Ollie insisted on paying for everything” he said. He pulled out my chair in an old gentlemanly fashion.
“Thank you, sir” I giggled. He smiled and sat across from me and we began dinner. Everything was amazing. When we finished, I sat with Roy on the couch, curled up in his warm embrace.
“Thank আপনি so much for the best birthday ever, Roy” I murmured
“Anything for you” he murmured softly in my ear back. I looked over at him and he looked back. He leaned in and his lips met mine. His hands traveled down my back to the small of it. He pressed and I instinctively moved closer, deepening the kiss. My fingers grabbed at Roy’s red hair and pulled. Roy moaned into my mouth. Right at that very moment, Wally burst in, shrieking and flailing his arms around, cinnamon erupting from his mouth like his was a fire-breathing dragon. I groaned and parted from Roy, picked up a glass of water and dumped it on the junior speedster’s head. Roy walked over and splashed some in his face.
“Better now?” I growled. Wally rushed over to the sink, turned the tap on and rinsed his mouth out.
“Much” he sighed. I rolled my eyes and stormed out, looking for the people who were most likely responsible for the interruption: Robin and/or Artemis and/or Becca and/or Willow and/or Phoebe.
